Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!  http://www.brokeandbookish.com/

This week it's ten books on your tbr from a genre you like. Yes I think I can manage this one! I'm going with Ten Apocalypse Books on my TBR.

1) A. American-Going Home (Survivalist #1)
What do you do when all the electronics die, leaving you standed 250 miles from home with no car or phone? Morgan faces a long trek home in a new dangerous world. Ooh I just can't get enough of these kinds of books and I'm so looking forward to getting stuck into the series!

2) Annie Berdel-Alpha Farm (Alpha Farm #1)
Emma is already changing to a self sufficient lifestyle when the EMP hits and she gathers fellow prepper women into action. Love the sound of this girls fight back plot along with the setting up of an underground railway being set up. This sounds a bit different and of course I love EMP stories. I like the sound of this.

3) John L Campbell-Omega Days (Omega Days #1)
A priest, a college student and a reality tv prepper all have to face the zombie apocalypse. Only the smart and the determined will survive...I love the book cover and it's a zombie apocalypse so of course I want to read it!

4) GR Carter-Dawn of Darkness (Fortress Farm #1)
In the midst of cults and psychos after the apocalypse, a new community tries to rebuild to provide a secure future for their children. Again, this is the kind of apocalypse read that interests me and I bought the series.

5) Norman Christof-America's Sunset
A massive solar flare changes the country forever just as Dawson gets his life back on track. Jake has been planning for disaster for years, building the ultimate refuge. Ememies use the aftermath to attack. Yes to all of that thank you!

6) Boyd Craven-One Man's Opus
As civil unrest threatens their country, Rick comes back into Tina's life and with her furry companion Opus, the trio decide to bug out looking for a safe refuge. From the description it sounds like the dog takes a bigger role so that attracts me even more. Love apocalypse dogs!

7) S Johnathan Davis-900 Miles
John is 900 miles away from his wife when the apocalypse comes and he faces a harrowing journey home. Zombies are going to be the least of his worries...Love the book cover and it sounds like my kind of plot.

8) Jay J Falconer-Redfall (Redfall #1)
A mysterious red rain falls and takes down the grid and a global conspiracy seek to take charge of everything. Survivors turn to outcast and loner Simon and his unique skills. Intrigued! Red rain and a man with a mysterious past? I'll give this a try...

9) G Michael Hopf-The End (The New World #1)
Ex Marine Corp veteran Gordon knows that getting survivors together is the key to survival but his community is breaking down. He is faced with tough choices in this new reality. I do enjoy these apocalypse survival books! Good series covers too...

10) Craig A McDonough-Toward The Brink (Toward the Brink #1)
A potato growth hormone has caused a zombie apocalypse in Idaho and a small group of survivors flee for somewhere safe. Potatoes causing the zombie apocalypse? OK this one I really have to read!

  1. Oh man, it's been so long since I've read an apocalypse book. They aren't my usual genre but sometimes I like to switch things up. Hope you love these ones when you get to read them
