Stacking the Shelves #107

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.

Please note that I always leave a message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. And sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress so you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not me!

Another week goes by and I didn't get as much reading done as I would have liked. I've been pretty tired and ended up slumped in front of the TV, watching Classic Coronation Street and my brand new shiny copy of Jurassic World! I totally love that film and I was watching it last night. Love the flying nutters having a peckathon on the guests, love Blue, love the T-Rex and IR is the psycho of all dinosaurs! I'm already looking forward to the sequel. Hurry UP!!!

I got another handful of books from Amazon and it really is time to stop now! I'm never going to reduce the darn tbr pile if I keep buying! My excuse is to buy the Apple Cider Vinegar, I had to buy books to get the free delivery price...ahem. I HAD to buy Fall of Austin, as I has already bought books one and three in the series which shows I'm a bit stupid but hey! Zombie trilogy! I bought the next three books in the Voodoo Plague series with a book voucher so will get the rest of the series on next week's haul. I can't wait to get stuck into Monsterland which has been described as The Goonies meets Jurassic Park! Excited...

I'm also doing a health experiment, dosing myself with Apple Cider Vinegar 3 times a day to see if I can get any of the health benefits from it that people online rave about! I'm doing a series of posts with all the details so you can check out my first post here:

  3. I enjoyed Elizabeth is Missing more than I expected to, though it is quite repetitive for plot reasons.

    1. It's a shorter book than I expected so I should be able to get through it in a nice I hope! I just hope I haven't over-hyped myself about it! I hate when books don't meet my expectations when I was looking forward to it!

    1. I'm certainly interested in your review and will pop over to see it this week. I plan to get started on Monsterland before Spooky Booky month ends! Ah, zombies or Jurassic World...what a nice problem to have!

    1. I don't think I've read anything of hers before. I think what grabbed me about this book is that the blurb doesn't give much away and leaves you curious about the secret. Hope to get reading this during the winter.

  7. Oh Monsterland sounds really nice! And I understand what you mean, I'm always getting a lot of books from Amazon and my tbr pile just keeps growing, I need to stop haha. Happy reading!

    1. I blame the authors Carla! They need to stop writing all these great sounding books! If they stopped, I could restrain myself!

  8. I just started coloring again today myself. First time in over 5 years. I used to do similar coloring years ago before it was popular but stopped for some reason. Enjoying getting back into it. Great activity while watching tv or something.
The Fall of Austin looks especially interesting. I know how hard it is trying to keep up with the TBR. More comes out that I want to read that I possibly have time for. I hope you enjoy all these! Happy Reading!

    1. I have the colouring books and a supply of pens but can't seem to sit still long enough to actually pick them up! With my tbr needing shortened again, I find myself ignoring everything to read when I'm not feeling tired! I need to manage my time better I think!

  9. Nice haul! I was bad this week, too (for the sake of free shipping). I didn't get much reading done either. The weeks before Halloween are busier than the weeks before Christmas. It's my favorite holiday and I have so much to do to get ready, plus, hayrides, orchards, leaves, apple picking...fall is the best! Enjoy your new books!

    1. This week I feel like I've been busy but I don't seem to have much to show for it! That's a bit annoying! Need to do some reading, book moving and blogging today but maybe not in that order...

  10. YAY for the coloring-books, Chuckles! I hope you'll enjoy transforming the content of those with your imagination :)
I want to read The Husband's Secret! It looks good, and that cover is well done.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading. I hope you'll feel better.

  11. Hi Chuckles :D I think with it being the end of the year we'll be seeing a lot more book offers, though I totally understand the free delivery thing ;) he he.
I hope the Apple cider vinegar experiment goes well! Hopefully you'll be feeling kick-ass next week :D *fingers crossed*
    Have a great week,

  12. I often feel like I didn't get as much read as I would like to, but making time for other hobbies can be nice too. I haven't watched Jurassic World yet, but it sounds like a good movie.
I keep buying and gettings books form netgalley, which doesn't help my goal of lowering my to-read pile. It's just so hard to not get new books. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  15. Oh, GREAT haul, Chuckles!! I'm going to bookmark this page so I can check out these books at leisure, but, from my first impressions, they look really good! Your coloring books look AWESOME, as well! I've seen other bloggers with "The Secret Garden" in their hauls. LOVE this new coloring trend!!

Hope you enjoy all of your books! Thanks for visiting my STS post and leaving a comment!! : )

  16. I love the adult coloring books! But I try not to spend too much time on that because I have so much to read and am behind on my tv shows. I'll be checking back to see how your ACV trial is going. I've heard it is good as well. But was never sure about trying it.
