Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.
Please
note that I always leave a
message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use
DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on
your page. I don't allow any company access to my social media accounts
and I certainly don't allow them to edit and take over my accounts the
way DISQUS does. So
if you use DISQUS, I can't leave comments on your page so I can't really
follow you back, sorry! I'm noticing that some blogs set with Google
Plus are trying to force you to open a Google Plus or Facebook account before you
can leave a comment. Well, I have no interest in rejoining Google Plus
or joining Facebook so if your blog uses this set up, I won't be following it or commenting!
And
sometimes,
I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by
Wordpress-they try to block me so there might not be a message from me
some weeks or you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not
me!
Another successful week of reading and watching TV as I attack my November goals! I've had a mixture of decent reads and stuff I didn't finish but it lowers that tbr a bit and I'm fully back into my reading after a poor summer. I'm pleased about that! On the book side of thing I've been clearing out unwanted books and giving them in trade for amazon gift cards so I can buy other things! It's been a good week! And they are telling us that the cold weather is about to start...but they have been saying that for most of the month and it is still warm at night even with the windows open! Is it too much to ask for seasonal weather???!!!

PAPERBACKS:
Having enjoyed season one of Game of Thrones, I decided to splurge on the books and a couple of cool Stark T shirts! Started watching season two last night and will continue tonight! I think my 'Hope you die horrible deaths' list is growing...Oh nearly forgot to add the colouring book!

At least in Game of Thrones, there are plenty of horrible deaths to prune your list!
ReplyDeleteI lost FOUR characters I liked in season one! The worst was the end of episode two with what Ned was forced to do...*blubbers* Bitch Queen! And her offspring monster Joffrey! *rants* I doubt I'll have any favourites left by the time I catch up!
DeleteYou trade your unwanted books for amazon gift cards?? That's pretty neat :) And I'm glad you've gotten your reading-groove back, Chuckles, as I'm also sure you're very pleased about that yourself.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend and happy reading.

Yeah a friend on a book trade site has similar tastes to me so she takes the UF and dystopia books. I pay postage to send it to her and she reimburses me in the form of a gift card. So she gets the books much cheaper, I get space back and a new book I'm mostly not paying for...yea!
DeleteI have to admit, although I've read all of the books, I've yet to watch GoT.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the last person in the world to watch it! Couldn't concentrate on season 2 last night with all the stupid fireworks going off!
DeleteYay for reading groove back! Hope you have an amazing reading week. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've had a great start to November, zooming through books and fitting in some TV as well. Hope it continues all winter!
DeleteI've not seen those Game of Thrones covers before. I'm glad your getting your groove back. You better have a few extra pages for your horrible deaths list. Booker T says thank his Auntie for the well wishes.
ReplyDeleteI like the scenic covers better than just the drawings of swords and stuff. Waiting to get my hands on this version of book 5 part 2! I'm adding three people from the first two episodes to my list!
DeleteThat's some nice books for you and all new to me. happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good year for exciting sounding books!
DeleteYes, Game of Thrones! I plan to read the books after the tv series ends.
ReplyDeleteThat's my plan as well! First I need to catch up with the series...
DeleteIt's getting pretty cold here, I hope you get some cooler weather soon. And yay for another good week reading and watching. I like the cover for Moon Tortured. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYep, a good month so far. Last night I watched a fil, 2 episodes of Game of Thrones AND finished off a book so I'm pretty pleased with that!
