Reading with Chuckles

I have renamed my TBR Reading Challenge and changed it back to Reading with Chuckles as it sounds better, especially at times when I have no specific challenge running. So this is where I'll share what I read and abandoned each week, and I'll give the odd update on the state of my poor TBR! It does suffer at times...! The link under the book takes you to the Goodreads page for that book so you can decide whether to read it, and see my reviews when they are posted.

I've been reading like something possessed since New Year and long may it continue! Reading with Chuckles will now be set firm for a Sunday unless illness or something gets the way. I've been on the zombie and apocalypse books again all this week which has been fun! I still have to write some reviews which I hope to catch up on during the week. I'm reading faster than I can review!

Wow are really making your way through a lot of books. I sometimes find it hard to stop reading to actually review books. When I am in reading mode, I just want to keep reading. I think I have 9 reviews or something like that to write.

Fave fiction genres are horror, prepper apocalypse, Harry Potter, ASOI&F, zombies, tudors, urban fantasy, dinosaurs, creature feature, sharks, some fantasy, SF and adventure. Fave non fiction includes mountain expeditions, cryptids, urban legends, history and politics. I LOVE action packed books with good characters and interesting human & animal sidekicks.

Don't read romance, PNR, erotica, westerns, religious works, YA books with angst and tropes, steampunk, classics, women's fiction or contemporary, other historical fiction. I hate slow plots, DESPISE love triangles & instaluv, detest love-hate relationship angst, and MCs that are violent rapists, drugged up idiots, whiny females and obnoxious cretins!

Fave TV: Game of Thrones, American Ninja Warrior, Sasuke, Buffy, Deadliest Catch, Bering Sea Gold, Great British Menu, Bake Off, Elementary, Hannibal, Ax Men, Prisoner, West Wing, Gold Rush, SG Atlantis, Scandal, Masterchef, Corrie, Supernatural, Yukon Gold, Wicked Tuna, Lost, Alias, Broken Skull Challenge, and there are a ton of things I haven't got to watching yet!
