My first Deep Blue Terror weekend was a huge success with 7 films watched and 3 books! Last weekend I looked at five films. This weekend so far I've watched another three and plan the same for tonight. Here I share with you my thoughts on another one I looked at.
Starring: Angela Parent, Christine Emes, Emanuelle Carriere

A science research company are drilling on an island beside the lake and unleash a huge shark into the water.
Oh dear, this was really bad. I rate it as one of the worst films I've seen in the shark genre. A dedicated student is researching the company for wrongdoing along with her bimbo airhead friends who just want to sunbathe-until the shark attacks their boat. Also on the water are a group of bumbling art thieves transporting a stolen painting who meet the same fate, stranding them all on the island with no way to leave.
The psycho leader of the thieves, Barb, is obsessed with getting the painting back, even with a huge shark in the water eating her men. She isn't caring who she orders into the water to die by the time both groups meet up. The plot is terrible, the shark effects are very false and cheap, the acting is really bad. I didn't know we could get so many vacant airheads and morons on the one beach. Do yourself a favour and give this a miss as there are tons of better shark films out there.

Oh my gosh that cover image is AWESOME. Now THAT'S a shark lol. Sorry that it kinda sucked...
ReplyDeleteI agree that the picyure is pretty awesome...though it takes place on a lake so there is no surf! Special effects on the shark certainly don't live up to it!
DeleteThe poster is giving me chills...that is one big shark!

Totally misleading poster which is a shame!
DeleteI'm proud of you for even finishing it. I made it about 30 minutes and gave up.
ReplyDeleteI confess that I dropped the remote control and was too lazy to move until it ended!
DeleteIt seems like another case where the movie poster/cover is better than the actual movie.
ReplyDeleteYep, definitely! This was a pretty bad film!
