Can't Wait Wednesday

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at http://www.wishfulendings.com/ to spotlight and discuss books we're excited about but haven't read, which may not even be released yet.

I don't leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus/DISQUS etc as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I also don't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sorry!

This Week...*sigh*

Expected Release: The Twelfth of Never???

Seriously man, write faster! I want to see this bad boy on my shelf NOW so I know you are working on the last book! Or books as he might have to split it. Gah!

  1. I almost choked on my yougurt - the 12th of Never - I love it. Do we know if this will even be the cover. He's probably so busy working with HBO on all the spin off series they are working on that he'll never finish this!

    1. I'm anxious because even when it does come out, I collect those scenic covers so I might need to wait even longer for that!

  2. AHHHH! Best pick ever -- and I don't even watch the show but I know how many people must be waiting for this one!

    1. Waiting for the final season of the show is going to be just as bad as waiting for the books!

  3. UGH! I'm SO with you. Especially with the Season 7 finale this past Sunday. I NEED to know more. I need to know how much the show's deviated from the books. UGH! And I read an article this week that basically said he wasn't in a rush to finish...not that it wasn't obvious already. Hope we don't have to wait too much longer!

    1. It's horrible isn't it! It could be two years until season eight and the books...it's anyone's guess! He certainly isn't in a rush to finish and I wish he would get moving! Arrgghh!

  4. I want to read this series, too. I don't get HBO, so I'm behind on the TV series. I have to borrow the DVDs from the library to get caught up!

    1. I've enjoyed reading the first two which stay pretty close to what they did for the tv series but the tv people went away from the books after that. I don't have HBO and GoT is on a pay per view channel in the UK so I took a risk and bought the box sets. It was great to binge watch it!

  6. Fortunately this gives me time to catch up. On the down side, it may come out long after I have. I've only read the first book so far. I really liked it.

Thanks for sharing! I hope you have a great day!

    1. I can't imagine what it is like for those who bought the books as they came out! It was bad enough waiting for the last two Harry Potter books! A few friends who were reading the books are refusing to watch the series until the books are done. I fear it might never happen!

  7. Hahaha 12th of never made me laugh so hard! Sorry it must be hard waiting. I am waiting for the fourth book of Intertwined series by Gena Showalter since 2012 cause the last book ended on a cliffhanger. The waiting sucks!

    1. I've only read the first two and I'm sort of lingering for news of this one before I press on...not sure why! I'm not a patient reader when waiting for the next one in any series!

  12. LOL! You might never get this book! I think it's hilarious and ridiculous how Martin loves to tease. I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it (whenever that will be)!

    Have a fabulous week. =)

    1. It certainly looks that way! I hope to read the rest of the books either at the end of this year if I reach my GR target early or next year to compensate for no season eight!
