Stacking the Shelves #168

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.

Please note that I always leave a message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. I don't allow any company access to my social media accounts and I certainly don't allow them to edit and take over the way DISQUS does. So if you use DISQUS, I can't leave comments on your page so I can't follow you back, sorry! (see below why I say NO)

I'm noticing that some blogs set with Google Plus are trying to force you to open a Google Plus or Facebook account before you can leave a comment. Well, I have no interest in rejoining Google Plus or joining Facebook so if your blog uses this set up, I won't be following it or commenting! And sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me so there might not be a message from me some weeks or you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not me but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!
****************

Another week goes by and I'm still doing well with the reading. My series catch up is ahead of schedule as I've read 7 out of the 10 books I need to complete the series. Not bad for the 11th of the month! It's a brilliant zombie series so I'm just racing through it even when they are longer paperbacks. I'm pleased with progress! I've bought a few of the Indie/self published zombie and apocalypse series I've looked at recently which leaves no space on the bookshelves again but I'm not caring, as you can never have too many zombies...unless the gits are chasing you and yelling 'Brraaiinnss!' of course! I even managed to get a film watched which was a bit of a miracle as doing anything other than reading feels wrong at the moment with a big tbr to deal with!

    1. It's an amazing series! I rated the two spin off books 4 star but every book in the main series have been 5 star reads and I'm finishing book 10 this morning! That is quite a standard to keep up. My dad loved the series as well.

    1. It helps when the series is really great! Lots of zombies and psychos and heart stopping missions! After this I'll read the Patricia Briggs one I got last week and then I'll try and catch up on a couple of short trilogies and back to slogging through the ebooks until the end of the month...though Game of Thrones is kind of calling to me as well!

As soon as I saw the cover of Dog Aliens I thought of you! Maybe your boys are secret agents too...

  18. Wow, I'm pretty sure you've done more reading than me, AND you managed to watch a movie! I feel like my brain has just been working slowly lately, so I haven't gotten much done at all.

I have that first Domino Finn book, but I haven't read it yet. And ooh, Afflicted is free! Totally just downloaded it :-)

    1. I've been surprisingly motivated and organised this year instead of my usual chaos and I think it is helping my reading...so far! Next on the agenda is catching up on the reviews from last year and then I can actually start reviewing books as soon as I read them...that would be a first!
