This week wasn't greatly productive thanks to the weather. Yes it pretty much rained every day which prevented me from getting out to paint the garden fence. Maybe it will be better next week. Instead I got clearing out a cupboard that was full of junk. It was just a small job but I guess it was something off the list. I've been pretty tired this week though I'm sleeping ok-it's a bit annoying when you can't find a reason for it! Anyway, hopefully I'll get more done this week and get a gardening post uploaded.
Right, on the reading front, I didn't get as much read as I hoped I would. The plan this week is to do series catch ups where I have a book or two to complete a series and see if I can do a few. The series I'm looking at are novellas of about 150 pages each so I hope to get through maybe eight or ten books this week if all goes well. I'm starting that today. On the book buying front, I read a good meteorite disaster book last week so I grabbed the paperbacks of the whole series, a couple of new books in series I'm enjoying and a few disaster books. For downloads, I'm still uploading some from a few weeks back from the last big pile I found. Fun!

ReplyDeleteI like the sounds of "meteorite disaster book" . . . that could be a cool series.
I really like Darrell Maloney as an author-his characters prepare for the disaster and then you see how they live through the disaster and the aftermath. I've read the first book in three different series and liked them all. It leaves me with quite a few books to finish the three series!
DeleteI hate it when I feel tired and lack of sleep isn't really the problem. I do have thyroid problems so that is usually the culprit. It is so frustrating. Most of your books this week are new to me but I do have Carrots. Have a great week, Chuckles!

Maybe I need the dosage of my thyroid pills changed.I think I might mention that next time I see the doctor. I'm not sure what to make of Carrots-I don't usually do well with books that are meant to be funny!

Usually I don't mind the rain but we have a few landscaping and painting projects that I want to get through quickly so I don't want to see it at the moment!

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I'm happier with rain than sun! I just wish the rain would hold off for 2 weeks to let us get this stuff done and out of the way! Still, I can cheer myself up with a nice apocalypse book!

DeleteWe are getting a lot of rain over here as well. I think April showers are coming a month late. At least you got something done. I've been on a throw away kick so have been sorting through some drawers and shelves as well. I know I have that Carrots book for some reason. Must have been free when I grabbed it. The book I'm reading now has a killer Easter bunny...good times. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how much we neglected the house and garden over the last 5 years or more. It's like I woke up one day and wondered how it was in such a mess! We're aiming to have everything done by the autumn, fingers crossed.

You must. It's Matt Wallace's new novella series - Envy of Angels and Lustlocked is already out and the killer Easter Bunny is in the new one out in July - Pride's Spell. They are awesome novellas about a catering company who basically does jobs for the evil minions on Earth.

The sun is very hot today but we were shopping all morning and couldn't take advantage of the weather which is so typical! I managed to get Carrots free so we'll see what it's like...
DeleteThe weather has been so weird for me. Last week: snow in Britain. This week: the kind of day everyone would have their BBQs out for (albeit in Belgium, so I don't know what the weather is doing at home).

Beautiful day in Scotland! Typical as I'm too busy to do the fence today! Hope it is sunny tomorrow again and I might get something done. As for the books, I've had too much on my list forever!

ReplyDeleteYes I love the Tudor period-fiction and non fiction, TV series and documentaries! I've already read a lot of Tudor fiction so finding new ones to try is quite hard!
