Stacking the Shelves #134

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.

Please note that I always leave a message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. I don't allow any company access to my social media accounts and I certainly don't allow them to edit and take over my accounts the way DISQUS does. So if you use DISQUS, I can't leave comments on your page so I can't really follow you back, sorry! I'm noticing that some blogs set with Google Plus are trying to force you to open a Google Plus account before you can leave a comment. Well, I have no interest in rejoining Google Plus so if your blog uses this set up, I won't be following it or commenting! And sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me so there might not be a message from me some weeks or you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not me!

It has been quite a week! As you will have noticed, there was no STS last week because on Friday 13th, my computer went terminal. Thankfully I was able to use my emergency savings on Monday to get a new computer at a decent price and the computer guy saved all the files from my old computer which was great. More details of what caused the disaster can be found on my computer posts! Losing the computer last week was very stressful and it really affected everything I did. I didn't get much reading done so I tried to chill out by watching things like Masterchef and Ground Force. Having a break from reading won't do me any harm I guess! It was Thursday before I could pick up a book! Hopefully this week will be better and stress free!

On the book buying side of things it was non existant but the books featured here today are what would've went on to my missing post from last year. So many lovely books to enjoy when I get time to read them all. I hope you guys had a good booky week!

    1. I hate electrical things especially new computers because my skills and knowledge are very limited! I'm always putting things like that off until they fall apart!

    1. I don't keep up-that's the problem! *grins* I'm still way up over 650 books to read but I'm hoping for a summer blitz to get through a pile of them. So many great sounding books!

  7. I can't imagine how stressful that must've been to lose your computer. Although that's a blessing the computer shop managed to save your files from the old computer. I hope next week will be better for you with less stress!

    1. I thought my head was going to explode! I deal badly with stress and I kind of got overloaded and lost the will to do anything except sulk in front of the TV! I'm hoping we might get some work done in the garden this week-not sure that will reduce stress!

  8. I really like the look of Lucifer's Hammer and may have to check it out eventually. However, I am still trying to accumulate some of your canine sidekick recommendations first. Hope you grabbed some real winners here!

  9. Sorry your computer decided to not work anymore, Chuckles! But I'm glad you got it sorted out, and even had all your files saved. Do you read on the computer? (See, I'm very, very curious!!)
I hope you'll enjoy your new books, and that you'll have a fantastic week.

    1. Thankfully I don't read on the computer. I get my ebooks from online but read them on my ereader. I do my blogging and computer stuff all day and after dinner I read until it is sleepy time! And you are very welcome to ask any questions you want to! *smiles*
