Stacking the Shelves #48

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.

So this week, I received a few books that I pre-ordered months back which was pretty exciting and caused me to frown at the complete lack of space on my bookcases. I NEED to get more reading time but I have become hooked on watching Masterchef Australia from the very beginning and I'm watching about six episodes a night. Not helping me to get reading done! Tonight I need to finish my zombie novel and get on to something else and get back into my reading zone. Next week is going to be manic and I'm not looking forward to it. New car getting delivered, new chairs getting delivered, workmen measuring up for work later in the month and family coming over from Canada that we have never met. I am useless at social events so entertaining my dad's cousins for a day is a scary prospect. I hope they aren't expecting fine dining as the microwave is my kitchen friend...I'm so stressed out about it that I'm freaking out!!!

    1. I've wanted to read Mist for such a long time and it took AGES to come out in paperback. Hope it was worth the wait!

    1. Devon Monk's books all sound really good. I need to re-read the first book in the Allie Beckstrom series to refresh my memory then get the rest of the series read before I try these other series.

    1. I love the cover for Mist and it sounds great. There aren't enough Norse mythology related books out there so I'm looking forward to this one.

    1. The RJ Crayton books are really good dystopian thrillers-very much character based with lots of twists and tension. Book three is published September 10th. Well worth a read!

  6. I need to start reading Benedict Jacka's work! Also, really want to start reading Devon Monk, but there's only one book in at the library and it's like third in the series.

Not... that I need any more series reads, heh. Enjoy your new books!

    1. Finding urban fantasy books at my library is impossible. I end up having to get most of my reads from amazon then trade the ones I don't want for amazon vouchers to get more. Books are the only thing I spend my money on so that's my excuse for buying!

  7. Oh, chuckle, I hope you can still chuckle despite your hectic schedule. Congrats on the new car and the new furnishings! I am also like you, visitors always stress me out. I'd rather spend my time reading books or watching TV shows.

I'm sorry but all of your books are new to me. :D But I hope they will help you in relieving your stress.

    1. It's been a pretty bad summer for stress and family problems and my reading has really been affected by that. I really could do without the visitors right now with the house being a mess. So I'll be cleaning all week to get the place into shape-grrr!
