Sunday Post #8

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ http://caffeinatedbookreviewer.com/
~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week,
showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming
up for the week on our blog.

This was a more manic week at the Book Cave. Ever had that kind of day where you have 50 things to do and you are so busy worrying how you're going to get it done, that you don't seem to get any of it done? That was me this week. I joined Google+ and wandered around it aimlessly trying to figure everything out for a day or two. At the same time I was setting up a new book group on Goodreads for Indie authors and fans to connect. Plus trying to read, review, check blogs and do features...and for fun a big dose of insomnia! Whooppee! I plan on a quieter week this time. Hopefully with more sleep and reading!

So I did book reviews for Corpse Days, Fire and Hillary: Tale of the dog which are on the blog. Featured Authors this week were J.C Michael, Kate de Jesus and Antje Hergt plus a book blast for Judith Post. I joined two blog tours as a host and I'm just waiting to get my first assignments which is exciting PLUS I  joined in with the Cover Mania, Wishlist Wednesday and Harry Potter Moment of the Week memes.

  6. Monument 14 is an interesting book. It was decent, but a strange mix of a very young-sounding (almost immature) writing style and adult themes including sex and drug use. The story was OK, but it was just so odd reading a book with a tone that felt like it could have been written for middle-graders. I'm still not sure if I want to read the sequel or not.

I'm excited to read the Quarantine series!
