J. C. Michael studied History at Durham University and lives in the North of England with his wife and young son. Although he wouldn't dream of viewing his work as belonging in the same league as Stephen King, Clive Barker, and James Herbert, their influence on his own writing is clear.

After constantly criticising films, books, and T.V shows, J. C was challenged by his "better half" to write something himself if he was "so bloody clever". The resulting novel was Discoredia.

In his spare time J. C tries to avoid checking his work emails and dreams about becoming a best selling author.
