Chuckles Weekend Roundup

Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do! 

Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!

I refuse to admit that the first week of December is just about over! Winter is passing me by already and I seem to be running through treacle some days! This week coming means it is finally time to vote in our upcoming General Election. I hate all the weeks of campaigning before it but I shouldn't complain! Six weeks or so is a joy compared to the length of the campaigns my US friends are putting up with! My temper is not great at the moment. I bought a couple of late offers on Amazon for Black Friday and every remaining one seems to be lost and I'm pissed because Amazon sent an email blaming me for not updating my address details and causing the issue. Since I have lived in the same house for all of my 46 years, AND they delivered successfully to me a week ago at this address, I find that really insulting!!!  

Anyhoo, no more buying until January! I'm intending to work on hitting my Goodreads total which seems to be getting further away rather than closer despite all the reading I'm doing at the moment! I read two shorter books yesterday and one this morning but I still seem to have over 20 to do before the year ends...ERK!!! I am still determined to give it a go and see what happens but it'll be a long slog by the looks of it!

I seem to have been so busy getting the Blogmas posts ready that I forgot to answer your comments over the last two weeks! Sorry about that! I caught up with that yesterday and just have the comments left in the last 24 hours to respond to so I'm back on track. I also have a few book reviews to get to over the weekend.

Films & TV

My dad and I finished watching American Ninja Warrior season 10 and we are just starting season 11, my favourite so far!!! I also got the chance to watch a few favourite films this week-Alien, Aliens and Mamma Mia! All week at night I've been re-watching the coverage of old political events-the 1997 devolution referendum results and the 2005 General Election.

 I'm starting to get in a panic about reaching my Goodreads goal as I'm STILL twenty books behind according to their total which I think is wrong! This week is about creature feature novellas, which helps me catch up a bit.
