I go through this every year don't I, looking at my DVD box sets and stuff I recorded from the tv, and wailing that I haven't had the time to get any of them watched and vowing to do better next year. But I never seem to be able to do better the next year because I spend most nights reading rather than watching to reduce my TBR pile! I will try again next year to at least get a few things off this pile but this post will show you what issues I have ahead of me and the scale of how far behind I am! Sadly I know I haven't remembered to list everything but this is some of what I need to watch.
I'm aware that some were cancelled after one season so are they worth watching or is there an unanswered cliffhanger at the end? I like political drama, paranormal drama, monarchy, terrorism, apocalypse and horror TV series-any suggestions? I don't like YA drama, haunted house, ghost story, medical, comedy or the typical crime drama. Have you watched any of these series? Which did you enjoy? NO SPOILERS!!!

Oh dang, you have some really good shows to watch. I loved The Vampire Diaries and Grimm. Millennium was so good, omg. I'm still watching Supernatural and love it. I really think you'll like The Strain, I know I did.
ReplyDeleteI DNFed the book of The Strain so I hope I like the tv series better! Grimm looks exactly like my kind of thing and I'm way back at season one of Supernatural!
DeleteOh my gosh, I LOVED Harper's Island!! Chernobyl is a really intense one. I recommend splitting those episodes up a bit. I binge watched a few of them and actually felt a bit sick.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Harper's Island! Chernobyl got such a great write up too.
DeleteSo I have Harper's Island on my list as well. I also highly recommend Stranger Things but I'm sure you guessed that. I watched the first season of Scream Queens and it was ridiculous. I tried the second season but didn't make it past episode 3. I agree with Mary and think you'll like The Strain - we loved it. Looks like you got a lot of good watching ahead.
ReplyDeleteI've seen mixed reviews of Scream Queens! Generally I watch three episodes of a new series-if I'm still interested I continue but if it doesn't grab me by that third episode, I quit! I didn't like the book of The Strain so I'm unsure what I'll think of it!
Deletegrimm...ooo...i used to watch that when it was on cable. i loved it. but i don't get into a lot of series because i have cable instead of netflix...
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
I don't have Netflix either...I tend to record new series onto my cable digibox, get them onto disks then binge watch when I have time!
DeleteI just cannot keep up with television. I do try to keep up with The Walking Dead although I haven't watched any of the current season and I did stay current with Lost back in the day.
ReplyDeleteI'm many many years behind in everything! I haven't had time to watch much because of all the reading I do but next year I need to fit in both!
DeleteThere are so many shows I want to watch or need to catch up on and I see so many on your list! I love Doctor Who and I've really loved this new season though I was highly doubtful about having a woman as the Doctor. She's been great though and I think she's one of my favorites. I loved the first few seasons of Lost and Blacklist but they both got kind of meh in later seasons for me. Good luck! You've got quite a list!
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching Doctor Who when Catherine Tate became a feature and I've never caught up with it. I'm not bothered by a female doctor but all these stories with PC stuff doesn't interest me at all!
