Chuckles Chuntering

That penguin resembles me this week-waddling about with a stiff back until I get my new computer chair during the week. It looks really comfy and I can't wait to get it. I also resemble the penguin because he is obviously buying lots of books from Amazon. Downloads! Hardback book! Books in series I'm following! Books for my Top Ten Tuesday lists under construction! Monsters! Yes I'm grabbing it all this week!

I have finally decided that I need to buy another 3 shelf bookshelf, and my dad wants a cd cabinet with a door on it. Where we are going to put these are anyone's guess! I have books lying on the floor that are going to get damaged if I don't find somewhere to put them.It looks like I might need to move the drawers with my clothes out of my room if I want another bookcase in there. Not sure how that is going to work but the books ARE more important! I think I might have worked something out and my dad is going to buy the chair and bookshelf for me hopefully today.

And just to add to the fun, a neighbour's friend was having a book clearout of stuff he's finished with or never got round to reading. He reads SF, horror, and fantasy and his wife reads historical. He kindly gave me a list of what they had so I could pick out what I wanted FREE! Of course it would be rude not to pick some wouldn't it! My weekend roundup would be too big if I added this lot onto it so here is what I got!

AWESOME!!! He says he might have another few boxes but hasn't dug them out yet so there could be more to come! I didn't take his early Stephen King, Richard Laymon, George RR Martin, Dean Koontz, Philippa Gregory, LOTR etc as I either have them or have read them already. That cheers me up as I've been a bit fed up this week!

  1. What an awesome neighbor. I bought the first Witcher book because I really want to give it a try. Good luck finding room for the bookshelves - yes they are a necessity:)

    1. Pity it wasn't the whole set but I'm not complaining! I've found a small space for the bookshelf and it won't exactly be tidy looking but it gets all the books onto shelves which is more important! Now I get the fun of soring through everything for some book therapy!

  2. I hope you love your new books! I still need to read those 3 Stephen King books. I need new shelves, too, but there’s nowhere to put them.

    1. I'd been curious about reading a few of these, others I hadn't heard of but when you get them free you have to take the risk! It'll take me about a week to rearrange all my books to get them into some kind of order-I've decided to split them by genre so that should take a while!

  3. Got some great ones there! That's amazing. I'm kind of jealous.
I have the same problem with bookshelves. I have two huge ones and a small one in my loft currently, then a big one and a small one in my room. And there's just no room for more.
And I'd love to find a shelf for my DVD's. I have so many and nowhere to put them. They're in the linen closet currently. Priorities.

    1. My dad understands that you can't have too many books as he's the same with cds. He needs the storage as badly as I do! I used to have a set of 5 drawers and a wardrobe but they were replaced in my bedroom by bookcases! We have a ton of dvds too-films and box sets. When I finally get this house into some kind of order, I'll take some photos!

  4. Excellent! Enjoy all your new reads. Now, it's time to decide which you will pick up first. :-)

    1. Thankfully I have books to be read next organised though I'm behind on where I want to be this month! I'm already organising a new-to-me author month for August so hopefully I'll fit in a few of these!

    1. Definitely a bigger boat! I've said that to my dad a few times and it always makes him laugh!

    1. No I haven't read him before but I've seen great reviews of his work and the video games sound like fun! I hope to be trying the first one next month for my August Autumnfest!

  7. Wow! Your neighbor really hooked you up. I would have had a hard time not taking all of the books being offered :) I hope you enjoy these, Chuckles.

    1. I'm certainly branching out a bit with those historical reads as they are a bit before the Tudor period I love but when you are getting them free, why not have a go! I'm sort of hoping/dreading he finds more to get rid of!
