Chuckles Weekend Roundup

Welcome to my new feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do!

Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!
****************
This has turned out to be a really busy week for me off the blog. I've had a lot of niggling jobs to do that all seem to take forever but when you look around you just can't see the fruits of your labour in any tangible way! Things like organising the dvds on the shelves, trying to find more space *laughs* on the physical bookshelves upstairs to get these book piles off the floor, finishing the deep clean of the kitchen and getting the hall sorted and user friendly with no junk. It's been time consuming and I've had less time on the computer for blog visiting and comments this week. Next week looks pretty busy too...I've got the October book cull which means going through the physical bookshelves and getting rid of unwanted books to the charity shop, and decluttering the ebooks that I no longer want to read. That will take a couple of days to complete! Ugh, but it must be done!

I haven't done much reading this week...just a few chapters of A Feast for Crows. It'll be interesting to get POV from Cersei, Asha and Brienne but the thought of no Jon, no Tyrion, no Davos, no Dany is a bit disappointing! But it is time, not motivation which is the current issue! I've become addicted to Snake City on NatGeo Wild, Great British Menu and re-runs of Coronation Street so I've been in telly sloth mode! A few book downloads to share with you though including some fantasy...

Chuckles Blogging World:
This was not a productive week on the blog. I was so busy with other stuff this week that I was days late in replying to comments and leaving comments on blogs. I still haven't fully caught up but that will happen today so that is something I guess. I didn't get much done on the book review side of things but I did see plenty TV!

Book Reviews:
I only managed a couple this week which is pretty poor and one was a copied and pasted retro read! Not my finest week!

I didn't get to any of the samples again this week but I did my usual Around The Blogs With Chuckles. Cover Love looked at Kristen Painter, Top Ten Tuesday was about Reality TV shows I enjoy, and Can't Wait Wednesday was all about the apocalypse!

  4. I need to do some cleaning up of my library too, lots of books to donate. I've long run out of space on my shelves and now books are piled in my cupboards, closets, what have you!

    1. It's depressing when you think of all that work waiting to be done!

  5. I know what you mean. I had a busy week every day after getting home from work and I sit here looking around and don't really see it. LOL At least in our minds we know! I've been watching the tube too. Binging Stranger Things 2 and American Horror Story and watching The Walking Dead. I feel a rewatching of Game Of Thrones coming soon too. I miss everyone! Great books this week. Looks like it's time to crack one of those bad babies open:)

    1. I'm ploughing through episodes of serial drama Coronation Street from 1979 at the moment. I kind of want to just do that all the time at the moment so reading has gone astray! Mind you a nice binge watch of Game of Thrones is tempting...

  6. I need to read Graveyard Shift. I was really looking forward to it. I didn't get much reading of blogging done this weekend as we've been doing some home improvement stuff. Hope you havev a very productive week.

    1. I think a lot of us are unproductive at the moment! I might need to look at some shorter reads to get me back in the mood for it...

  10. It sounds like you have been very busy but quite productive. All things that needed to be done. Graveyard Shift is a book that I am really tempted by so I will be watching for your review. Have a great week!
