Can't Wait Wednesday

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at http://www.wishfulendings.com/ to spotlight and discuss books we're excited about but haven't read, which may not even be released yet.

NB: I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow them to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. New York Times bestselling author Kevin Hearne returns with the finale to his wildly popular action-adventure series, The Iron Druid Chronicles.

Two-thousand-year-old Druid Atticus O'Sullivan travels to Asgard and faces off against the Norse gods to try and prevent Ragnarok in the final battle for the fate of mankind.

NARG! The series is ending! I'm not sure what I'll do without regular Oberon! This is estimated to be published in April 2018 so it is a pretty long wait and I hope it ends the series well.

  1. Well, one thing. By the time I start this series, I should be able to have access to the entire thing. I hope the author continues to publish novellas staring Oberon. It can't just be over for him once the series ends can it?

    1. I wasn't able to get Purloined Poodle when it came out and they are asking crazy prices for it on Amazon for the hardback. It's not quite the same on ebook! I intend to grab the new one when it is released. I still have the last anthology book to read too. I'm not sure about his new series-need to see some reviews first!

  5. I got to meet this author at NOLA Storycon last year, but still haven't read any books. I know how you feel about the end of a series though. Hope you get your hands on it soon though!

    1. It is depressing when a good series is coming to an end. I hope the final book has a fitting end.

  6. I'm with Barb. I won't have to wait for the ending by the time I get through the others. He has such great covers for these!

  7. Ooh the series is ending? I wonder if it's because the author wants to focus on his new epic fantasy series. Well, regardless, I hope the conclusion will meet all your expectations!
