Can't Wait Wednesday-The Dover Demon

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at http://www.wishfulendings.com/ to spotlight and discuss books we're excited about but haven't read, which may not even be released yet.

NB: I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow them to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account.

The Dover Demon is real...and it has returned.

In 1977, Sam Brogna and his friends came upon a terrifying, alien creature on a deserted country road. What they witnessed was so bizarre, so chilling, they swore their silence. But their lives were changed forever. Decades later, the town of Dover has been hit by a massive blizzard. Sam's son, Nicky, is drawn to search for the infamous cryptid, only to disappear into the bowels of a secret underground lair. The Dover Demon is far deadlier than anyone could have believed. And there are many of them. Can Sam and his reunited friends rescue Nicky and battle a race of creatures so powerful, so sinister, that history itself has been shaped by their secretive presence?

Since I first discovered Hunter Shea, I have wanted this book but it was out of print everywhere. I resigned myself to not getting a copy...but it was re-released this month and I'll begetting it this week!!!

    1. I'm really glad it isn't a giant spider...I love spider books but hate spiders on the cover. That's why some editions of The Hatching series freak me out! This one is nice and creepy though!

  9. Wow, this one sounds awesome, but I have to admit that cover creeps me out. I love creepy stories, but not sure I want to have a picture of that alien creature thing staring at me from my book, lol!
