Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about
sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical
or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store
or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books,
gifts and of course ebooks! Click on the link under the book to find its page on Goodreads or Smashwords.
Please note that I always leave a
message on your STS/SP if you visit me, but if you use
DISQUS or a similar third party I will not be able to leave a comment on your page. And
sometimes,
I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by
Wordpress so you might get a double message sometimes! Blame them, not me!
I showed a bit more restraint in my book buying this week, picking up a few more bargain mountain trek ones, a few freebies and the rest of the pile I ordered from Amazon over the last two weeks. I have 3 more still to arrive but I can't see them being delivered in time to make this week's page unless the postman feels full of energy! I've done really well this week, reading my mountain climbing books and I should hit a good total for completed books this month. I hope I can keep the good work up over the summer. I haven't been out much due to stomach bugs so no photos yet I'm afraid! We're trying to concentrate on getting the house sorted. All my old bookcases are sagging so it will be off to IKEA to get them replaced. The thought of sorting through all of that and moving everything does not really appeal to me right now but it needs to be done and I want everything sorted before the winter. We'll get there!
I was looking at my old book blog which hasn't been active for two years and I realised that I had left my beloved pets there! Arrgghh! So I've brought them over to this blog on the right hand side. You can feed and play with my little friends!

Oh my, Chuckles, that's quite the haul ;) And more to come, you said. Hopefully you'll get the other books you ordered early next week so you'll have more of a choice in what to read and when :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, happy reading.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I don't think I need to worry about choices with nearly 600 unread books in my house! It might be time for a book ban attempt this summer...
DeleteI can't believe I still haven't read Dorothy Must Die! I just remembered it when I read it from your post, but when it was published I was obsessed to get it in my hands :) I think I should buy it soonish so I won't forget it again! Great haul!
ReplyDeleteI lose track of my books all the time! I really need to get my paperback collection organised!
DeleteI was quite mixed by Charming but I hope it will be better for you. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThis book has been on and off my wishlist countless times since I first heard about it. I decided I better just try it and get it over with one way or the other!
DeleteI'll be curious to see what you think of Dorothy Must Die. I've never been a huge Oz fan, but all these reinterpretations and psuedo-sequels have me curious.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Wizard of Oz book and film when I was a kid but I've avoided all these retelling novels as I'm not too sure they are my kind of thing. Only one way to find out I guess! When I'll actually get to it is another matter...
DeleteI think you have even more unread books than me - actually I don't know the exact number because I haven't counted the e-books. The physical books are around 300 at the moment. I need to try a book buying ban too.
ReplyDelete*smiles* I blame the authors! If they stopped writing great sounding books I could catch up easier!
Deletesorry meant to add my Stacking the Shelves link as I'm no longer on Blogger - http://www.booksplease.org/2015/05/23/stacking-the-shelves-23-may-2015/comment-page-1/#comment-113989
ReplyDeleteMargaret @ BooksPlease
I've just been over to say hello!
DeleteI read Dorothy Must Die last year and enjoyed it, not read the next book yet. Hope you like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little unsure about it but I'll give it a try!
DeleteI LOVED Dorothy Must Die and hope you enjoy it as well. I think the second book is better, though. Enjoy your haul!
ReplyDeleteMy STS
I've been in two minds about this book so I'll keep my fingers crossed!
DeleteOhhh Charming! I absolutely loved that book. I haven't been able to get my hands on the second book yet but at some point I really need to. =)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
I've been in two minds about this book but finally decided to grab it and see what happens!
DeleteYou've got a great haul this week! I just bought myself Dorothy Must Die and I read it and was so disappointed. I was really hope I was going to love it, but it just didn't work for me. I hope you enjoy all of your books :) Here's my haul if you want to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI haven't really been that keen to read it but I did love the OZ books when I was a kid and I got curious about an evil Dorothy so I'll give a go at some point. Not high on my list of priorities though!
DeleteSo many books. How do you keep up with all of them. They look amazing. I hope you love all your new books this week.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
I think that's the very problem Grace...I don't always keep up! *grins* I am going to have to try another book ban for the summer so I can get the tbr down a bit!
DeleteNice haul! I really liked Dorothy Must Die. I haven't read the sequel yet, though. Charming looks good. I hope you enjoy these. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMichelle @ Michelle's Minions
I think I have higher hopes for Charming than Dorothy Must Die but you don't know until you read them I guess. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both!
DeleteI'm intrigued to know what you make of Dorothy Must Die... I wasn't that impressed!
ReplyDeleteI can't say it's top of my list to read but I'll try it at some point I guess!
DeleteDorothy Must Die was pretty entertaining. Wowzers for how many books you have unread in the house. Although I don't know that I have room to talk because we might be approaching that many here.
ReplyDeleteMy Stacking the Shelves this week was pretty small. Happy Reading!

All you can see in my house is bookcases! I'm actually having to start buying replacements as they are buckling under the pressure! I need to have a clearout this summer and get rid of the books I won't read again to the charity shop!
DeleteHope you feel better soon. Looks like you picked up quite a few good books this week. I love visiting your pets too.
ReplyDeleteTurns out the stomach problem is actually bloody piles! Damn painful buggers!!! Hopefully the books will take my mind off things!
DeleteDorothy Must Die is one that I can't wait for! I've been hearing nothing but great things about it too. I will definitely be looking forward to your review on it. :)
ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
I've heard mixed reviews on it but I guess the only opinion that really matters is my own! *grins* I'll get to it during the summer hopefully!
Deletenice haul and happy reading :D
ReplyDeleteMaura @ Monsterofbooks.blogspot.com
Thanks very much for stopping by Maura!
DeleteI've been wondering about Dorothy Must Die... I saw a couple of not-so-positive reviews recently, but then I've seen so much excitement about it too. Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI'd avoided the book because of the mixed reviews but I admit I'm curious about Evil Dorothy!
DeleteAww your virtual pets are adorable! They keep following my curser when I move aroudn your blog. I rearranged my bookshelves today so eveyrthign fits on my shelves again, but i am hoping to get one extra bookshelf later this year as it's becoming a bit crowded on my shelves. Good luck with replacing your bookshelves, that's probably goign to be a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteNice haul! The cover for Help a Bear is Eating me looks pretty fun. I wonder where the book is about. Have a great week!

DeleteYes I love my virtual pets! I can't believe I had left them all alone on my old blog!!! Bad chuckles...
Charming wasn't my fav book. So much info-dumps, but I hope you liked it more.
ReplyDeleteWow that is some haul! Happy reading and mountain climbing.
