Constructing The Red Keep

Welcome to my second Game of Thrones 3D puzzle! This time I'm constructing the Red Keep and I'm going to do more of a step by step set of posts to give you a better idea of how it goes together, as it is hard to explain clearly!

This was the way I finished my last post, just to remind everyone of progress.

The next step was to put all the turrets on the back of the Red Keep, on top of all the grey buildings. Ugh, MORE turrets! This completes the back of the Red Keep. The second photo is the front view but you can see the added height to the construction now.

This is the flat section for adding the lower level of the build, and how it looks after it is added to the Red Keep. I've also added most of the walls to that piece.

The next thing was to add the next eight turrets to this new level. The second photo shows two walkways leading up to the gates of the castle levels.

Now I added the buildings to the very front of the Red Keep, followed by the castle walls and some of the trees throughout the construction.

And now we are done! These are photos of all angles of the building to show how it looks, and the final photo shows it on display beside my dad's carved wooden dragon! The light from the lamp makes it look like sunset on the Red Keep.

    1. I figured putting the dragon beside it fitted in! Like Drogon getting ready to attack the city!

    1. The lamp gives it a sunset look to it which makes the Red Keep glow nicely at eye level!

    1. I'm pleased that I was able to find somewhere to keep it! It's a decent size but it fits there nicely with the dragon.

    1. My dad bought that wooden carved dragon but it's been hidden on a shelf. This seemed like the ideal spot to display it properly!
