  1. Uh oh. Looks like Strand isn't working for you. Well, at least you are wiping books off your TBR which is a great thing!

    1. Yes I think it's time to give up on Strand and Garton! It does mean I can move on to other horror authors though and it gets a few off the pile!

  2. Sorry to see you had a handful of DNF's this week. Hopefully the one you are reading now is better.

    1. I'm happy enough that they are being dealt with so DNFs are my friend as much as a finished book is!

  3. How's Crimes Against Magic going? That's one I want to read this year.

    1. I didn't get much read last night but it's got off to a decent start. There are dual storylines, past and present and they are both interesting so far. I also like the MC so far which is good! I hope to read more of it tonight.

    1. Sadly, not lizards. That might have been a better read. This was a vampire plot but I didn't enjoy it much...

    1. I liked two of the books he co-wrote-The Haunted Forest Tour and Draculas but the ones I tried this week just didn't appeal sadly!

  6. I've read a couple of Strand's books and enjoyed them. I have some more to go. Will see how that goes.

    1. I enjoyed The Haunted Forest Tour and Draculas but not the ones I tried here, which is a pity. Still, we can't love everything we read! I hope you continue to have a good time with Strand!

  7. I liked Hyperbole and a Half. There was a story involving a goose that had me absolutely dying. That's quite a lot of DNFs but luckily that's some space cleared off your TBR.

    1. The God of Cake totally cracked me up but I also laughed at the goose! It was a funny book and I'll be keeping that on my shelves for sure. DNFs are a good thing for reducing the pile!

    1. That is certainly a positive thing! As long as I deal with the books I'm ok with DNFs being in there!
