Reading with Chuckles

I have renamed my TBR Reading Challenge and changed it back to Reading with Chuckles as it sounds better, especially at times when I have no specific challenge running. So this is where I'll share what I read and abandoned each week, and I'll give the odd update on the state of my poor TBR! It does suffer at times...!

  1. How come you abandoned Will Grayson, Will Grayson? Was it that bad? I've read a couple of John Green's books, and I think they're okay. Except The Fault in our Stars - good concept, but it wasn't executed that well (like when they make out in Anne Frank's basement - what. the. hell).

Hey, have you ever read The Book Thief?? I'm currently reading it now, and I must say that it is insanely awesome!

    1. For Will Grayson, I hated all the characters so there wasn't any point continuing with it. I did like An Abundance of Katherines though as I liked the characters and the humour. No I haven't read the other John Green books yet so please, no more plot spoilers on the blog!!! I LOVED The Book Thief. I think I read it about 5 or 6 years ago and thought it was a great book so I'm glad you're enjoying it!

  2. ooo, I'm liking the rename! I don't know if you got my message, but I was wondering if you'd think about turning your countdown posts into a meme? I can see it becoming highly popular ;) he he. Especially as mine is nearing 700 books! Damn that Stacking the Shelves meme!! I know it's a bit of hard work, and I wouldn't know how to go about it either. Just something to consider :) The reason for the idea is because your countdown posts are really inspirational! I think so anyway :D
    Happy reading!

    1. I haven't got a clue how to set up things like memes! I am virtually clueless on the computer to be honest! It's so nice of you to say you find the posts helpful! I think I need help myself. My autumn buys have booted my tbr up to 550 and I still have a big pile of downloads and borrowed books to add on! I wish I could read faster or find more time to do it!

  3. I've heard mixed reviews on Will Grayson, so not sure if I'll ever get around to picking it up. I haven't read An Abundance of Katherines yet, but I liked The Fault in our Stars and Looking for Alaska.

    1. I really hated the characters in Will Grayson...come to think of it, I need to get the review done! An Abundance of Katherines was certainly better and it had its funny moments.
