Stacking the Shelves #36

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

This week, chuckles was very bad...On Sunday I suddenly lost control of my senses and my purse and went on a multi-book paperback splurge on Amazon! *hangs head in shame* I'd been good for weeks, just buying a few here and there but this was a chuckles megabuy! So far 12 of the 15 have arrived! The other three will be on next week's post unless the postman delivers before I finish this post. Can I help it if the books just look so nice and shiny? I blame the authors! If they would stop writing all these great sounding books then I wouldn't be a bookaholic!!!

  2. I haven't read any of these but happy reading. I agree with your above comment about reading more and buying less. I have that problem (majorly).

  3. How do you manage to find this stuff. I see lots of books here that are new to me. When do you find time to read these books.

    1. I always check free books in my fave genres on Smashwords which is where I find a lot of things like Fat Vampire. They are good for free horror books and anthologies! I also check the Kindle freebies on Amazon and the books that are under £1. (I don't spend more than that on Kindle books.) The paperbacks I see as recommendations/'Customers who bought this item also bought' on Amazon and 'Readers also enjoyed' on Goodreads or what I might spot on other's blogs. I do quite well with that!

How do I get time to read them? Er I don't! I have 808 books that I own and haven't read yet! I need a good summer of reading to catch up a bit!

  5. WOW! That is one amazing haul, you've been very naughty. I love ordering books online because I get super excited every time a package shows up and I get to open it and see which one it is. I hope you've got some amazing reads in your collection! :)

    1. I feel the same when the packages arrive! It's the noise of the perforations popping on the Amazon cardboard and seeing that shiny book slide out!

    1. Sometimes the hype on a book can be a problem and leaves you thinking 'was that IT?' after you read it. I hate it when that happens.
