Chuckles Weekend Roundup

Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do!

Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!

It's a new year and I'm going into it with a chilled out attitude that should hopefully lead to less stress! Housework will be done when I have the energy (I nearly wiped myself out trying to get everything cleaned last week!) I'm pleased to report I'm comfy with operating the new washing machine! I will read what I want when I want, do my own challenges without deadlines and pressure, watch films and box sets and documentaries as I feel like it and try to get a bit more fun back into my life! Maybe a few craft projects or something! No set goals or reading lists, and a few lazy days like the beagle if I want to!!!

I'm still trying to catch up with various tasks connected to my reading-adjusting Goodreads shelves, filling in empty old reviews that I have no notes of (ugh!), a written list of everything on my ereaders including details on page numbers and plot (helps me decide what to read next without having to go online!) These things continue to be a work in progress. Book buying can resume now that the festives are over but I have no plans to go really wild, just a few new releases for my January collection! I'm starting the year by uploading physical books that I've somehow forgot to put on my TBR.

  2. Reading is my hobby. It's supposed to be enjoyable and stress-free. Whatever makes it that way for you is what you should be doing. I only do major housework on the weekends, because that's when I have the time and energy, so I fully support your choice with that.

    1. Yes, I agree totally. It's so easy for a hobby to become stressful and I'm determined not to let it happen this year! Housework just sucks doesn't it. I already have more ironing to do and I feel like I just did a pile!!!

  3. I need to spend a solid week going through my Goodreads account and finding some way to track books I have and books I want to own and all that but so far it hasn't happened.

    1. I have a TBR on Goodreads which is books I already own but haven't read, and made a wishlist shelf for the stuff I want to buy. I found that the easiest way to sort my stuff!

    1. I'm certainly enjoying my reading so far. Long may it continue! I need to do a tiny bit of work on a few of my goals in the next week or so just to get me started on progress!
