Chuckles Chuntering

Hi guys, just a quick message to let you know I'm taking a day or two off. I haven't been well over the weekend due to a change in routine medication-nothing to worry about but let's say the toilet is seeing a lot of use! Ugh! Too much information eh! I'll be feeling rough until the new dosage kicks in so I'll just be chilling out a bit.

Today I was at the dentist for an extraction which was totally pain free to my relief but the stupid thing keeps bleeding so I'm chewing on gauze which is making me gag a bit! Only a crown to do and my treatment should be done so that is good news. That'll be over two appointments-prep then fitting. Such a relief!

Twitter seems to be playing up again which is where I was tring to post a few messages about a blog break. It refuses to send tweets and the help and setting all seem to be blank. I'm getting really sick of the whole thing and I might be pulling the plug on it very soon.

Anyway, I'll be posting a couple of things like TTT and Books From the Backlog as usual and will reply to all comments and visit you all this weekend!

  2. I hope you feel better soon. When I had my wisdom teeth extracted they wanted to bleed a lot too. Hopefully that stops soon for you, I know keeping that gauze in your mouth is not fun.

    1. It is so horrible having that feeling of gauze in the mouth...bleah! It bled lightly on and off for two hours but never enough to need medical treatment thankfully! Ugh, what is the POINT in wisdom teeth? They seem to cause countless problems and need removing (I had mine out many years back, around 2003). The wisdom seems to be 'don't give us them!'

    1. Felt much better yesterday as the new medication kicks in. I had swapping over to a new one as I always feel like crap! Back to my grumpy self now though.

    1. I've been in there with a mirror to see how it looks but I can't really tell! No pus or necrosis so I'm guessing that is good...

  5. Ugh, too bad about the side effects of the meds. I'm so glad to hear the tooth extraction was pain free. I hope it heals soon.

    1. Stupid medication! I hate these switch-overs! Yes I'm pleased that the dental treatment is nearly over. Should be just this crown and hopefully I'm done!

  7. I bet you are so happy to be almost done with your dentist visits. You really came though like a trooper. I always get so worked up and then am so surprised by how they work so hard to make me relaxed and pain free. Enjoy your break:)

    1. I remember that initial check up when he kept reading out all the things that needed to be done to his assistant and my heart was just sinking! Now I can't believe that it is almost done! I'm the same-I worry about the appointment and then it is pain free, but I still worry about the next one!

    1. I wonder WHY someone wants to be a dentist. Looking at rotten mouths all day doesn't seem like much fun!

    1. Twitter is driving me mad but every Saturday I'm on it to follow the progress of all the games in the football leagues here. That's the only thing stopping me from deleting it! I'm feeling fine now thanks-hopefully a nice productive week coming up!

    1. The good thing is it didn't hurt at the time. A few twinges since them but not enough to need painkillers which is good. I'm so glad it's over as I've been worrying about it for months!

    1. I haven't been to a dentist since about 2003 so that was a long wait to 2019! I think I got off lightly as there were no infections or abcesses and not much pain from my mouth! I'm actually smiling at the neighbours now that I'm not ashamed of how my mouth looks!

  13. I'm glad the extraction went smoothly even if the bleeding is a little persistent!
Almost done with it all? You must be so relieved/happy! It's been a long slog for you. Soon you'll be onto the 6 month check ups and the 'pat pat all good see you in another 6 months' routine!
