Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do!
Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!

This has been a really stressful week. Since last weekend I was worrying about my dentist appointment. I dragged myself in yesterday to face my fears only to find out to my embarrassment that my appointment was actually Tuesday and I'd missed it! To say I felt like an idiot was putting it mildly plus I have to wait two weeks for the next appointment! All that stress for nothing!!! Still I can forget about it for a while. Not much else happening except my spice rack is now up and the kitchen is finally tidy so nothing else needs to be done to it at the moment. At some point I'll clear the unwanted dishes out the cupboard to give me a little more space but there's no rush to do it. Today my dad is taking the junk to the dump which will clear the hall and give me space back.
On the book side of things, the only thing that arrived was another book in a series by Darrell Maloney that I'm following so I was very good! I did buy a few other things Game of Thrones related-a lovely soft throw to keep me cozy when I watch season eight this year. The picture I found of it isn't great and the colours are actually much better!
Then I bought these gorgeous things-I love wolves and I figured they looked like something the Starks would drink out of so I treated myself to these as well. I can have a nice drinky with them as I watch the new season!
Chuckles Blogging World
This week I decided to re-evaluate my blog and how I could better use my time. I'll be scheduling my posts during the week and catching up with all blog visits and answering comments at the weekends, leaving midweek free for other things. Hopefully I can find more time for reading and Pinterest!

I actually got more read than I thought-I finished Primordia 2, Cruel Candy, Breakdown and A skeleton in the family as well as DNFing The Dog and a couple of Ryan Casey books. Most of these were for the Puppy Love Challenge. This week it's a new month and I'm tackling a few winter adventures first!

I love the GOT stuff! This month, I’m going to start re-watching every episode. I’m excited.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I want to re-watch so badly but I have so much else I need to do! Grrr!
DeleteGlad the kitchen is finally where you want it and that wolf goblet - gorgeous! I've always loved wolves as well. It definitely looks like you are ready for some cold winter reading. We are expecting our regularly scheduled March snowstorm Sunday so I hope to read horror all day!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist the wolves with my Stark obsession! Our winter has been so mild that I should keep saying Winter is Coming!
DeleteOh how annoying about the appointment. I've done the same thing and it's so frustrating - especially when it is something you're stressed about. I love the wolves! I've started seriously indulging on mugs and stuff. It's so much more fun to drink my coffee out of a mug that makes me smile than a plain mug.
ReplyDeleteI'm so annoyed at myself I really am! Now I go through all the panic all over again! I love my wolf cups-I'll be drinking from them every time I watch Game of Thrones!
DeleteHope you have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark!
DeleteThose wolves look perfect for enjoying GOT! I'm sharing my review of Hunter's book tomorrow. I'm very curious to see what you think of it. I've done that before. Showed up for an appointment and it turned out I'd already missed it. Doesn't happen much anymore as I usually get some kind of reminder on my phone.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a mobile phone but the dentist does have my email but I didn't get one from them. Yes the wolf cups will be perfect for watching season eight!
DeleteWoah! Seriously nice Game of Thrones stuff!!
ReplyDeleteA nice treat to myself!
DeleteI can't wait for the new season of GoT!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking for a while I need to approach my time management differently. I was thinking writing/scheduling posts at the weekend when I have more time so all I have to do is pop by and do my visits during the week, which I can do from my phone. I've got so much more reading done this week by just not touching my laptop... It's actually scary how much time I waste on it!
I just hope it lives up to expectations! I enjoyed season 7 but not as much as the others. The cutting down of episodes meant we barely saw some characters, we lost all those interesting fillers between the big action scenes. I'm worried the same will be true of the final season!
DeleteOh no! I'm sorry you have to go through the anxiety of waiting for you appointment again :(
ReplyDeleteMy stomach is in knots every time I think about it! And I have a lot of appointments to worry about!
DeleteI have shown up at the wrong time before. It happens but I am sorry that it happened to you! Hopefully, everything will go smoothly in 2 weeks. I have 5 episodes of GoT to watch and then I will be all caught up and ready for season 8. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI feel really stupid about turning up on the wrong day! I have to go on Monday so I'm already worrying again! I'm so glad you're loving Game of Thrones!
DeleteI love the goblet and the mug and the throw. I have so many throws but I love them all. =)
ReplyDeleteMary
I'm all ready for the new season of Game of Thrones! Just need to get some beer in!
