Harry Potter Diagon Alley #4

I can't believe that I've finished my fourth and last Harry Potter Diagon Alley 3D puzzle! I really hope they add things like the Leaky Cauldron and Gringotts to this set, along with the Owl Emporium! Until then, I need to be satisfied with my collection of four puzzles which are now on display in my bedroom. Today, I put together Madam Malkin's Robes and Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour.

Firstly, as always, I put together the base, did the jigsaw of the front of the robe shop, and glued it onto the base as per the plans supplied with the box.

The next stage was to do the flat jigsaw of the side of the robe shop along with the front and side of the ice cream shop.

Then I did the two parts which when joined together, make the back wall of the buildings.

I attached the side of the robe shop onto the front and the base. Behind the model you can see some of my monkey cushions!

I did the other side of the robe shop and attached the front of the ice cream parlour to the base. This is how the front looks after the doors and windows are added.

Now we add on the side of the ice cream parlour, a few support beams inside and attach the back to the building. Onto that, we add the roof.

Now we can take a look at the finished product!

Finally I put the four finished shops onto a shelf beside my bed where I can look at them, adding in my models of the Ford Anglia and Hogwarts Express.

  1. Those puzzles are amazing and it's cool how you can create the whole scene when you're done!

    1. I almost feel as if I could stroll along Diagon Alley myself! I wish I had more small figures to display on it instead of just Harry and Ron!

  2. That looks awesome!
I started first my "re-read" (listening on audiobook for the first time) of Harry Potter in about 10 years and am amazed at all the little things I'd forgotten!

    1. You get something new out of Harry every time don't you! I guess that's why we never tire of it. I'm several chapters in to The Half Blood Prince now. I need to put together a list of paperbacks that I'm having doubts about based on reviews, and try to tackle them next. I hope to fill a few bags for when the charity shops open again.

    1. I find myself looking up from my book to enjoy staring at my Diagon Alley. Hogwarts would have been so much more exciting than my school and some magic help with the housework would be welcome!
