Chuckles Chuntering

Sorry I've been absent over the last few days but it has been chaos here. Tomorrow the new piece of furniture is meant to arrive, depending on the weather, and we have had a lot of things to move to get the way clear for the guys to carry it in. They might take the big dresser unit so we are having to empty the whole thing just in case. If they don't take it, we will have utter chaos in the house until we find another charity shop to take it off our hands. We've been trying to get all this done while both of us are coughing and sneezing and feeling tired! We've been joking about it being the coronavirus but it's just a typical cold.

The problem is that I haven't had the chance to do my usual Around The Blogs post this weekend or catch up with comments and blog visits as I usually do. I'll be pretty much offline Monday, as we have no delivery time and I need to unplug and move the computer desk into the kitchen out the way. I may be offline Tuesday to try and get things re-organised after the upheaval so I'll be catching up with everyone in a few days as time allows.

See you all soon!

  5. Sounds like it's all a bit of a nightmare, especially if you're both ill as well. Fingers crossed everything works out well on the day and Storm Ciara doesn't add to your problems. Stay safe :-)

    1. It's been a pretty miserable day for sure with rain, sleet, snow, howling winds and thunder. Still we're luckier than the poor people across the country who have been flooded so I shouldn't complain. We haven't had the worst of Storm Ciara so we're happy with that.

  7. It sounds like you have a lot of work to get done and while you aren't feeling well. I hope the delivery goes smoothly.

  8. I hope the weather holds and you can get the furniture delivered. Living in a limbo stage is definitely no fun. It gives me flashbacks of our kitchen remodel.

    1. The weather cooperated but the idiot delivery guys didn't! Thankfully I've been able to get everything back to normal this afternoon. Why do we put ourselves through these things! I did get to tidy and rearrange things as I put them back so it does look better!

  9. All joking aside, it is a good thing it isn't the corona virus. That thing is spreading fast.

    1. Yeah I can at least be grateful for that! I'm watching the TV carefully and the first sign of it heading my way, I'm locking the doors and avoiding all people! We have a food and water supply, masks and gloves, hand sanitiser...I'm ready if the worst comes!
