I feel a bit like the zombie monkey again this week! I just feel really tired every morning and I'm dozing off as I try to read each night. It's a bit annoying when I keep getting that horrible heavy feeling that zaps my energy and concentration. I'm sleeping well so it might be related to all the stress over the medical stuff this last week or so. Still, I just need to power through and get on with what needs to be done. I've got a few small decorative things that need doing like hanging new shower curtains, arranging my spices into my rack and getting rugs in position-no heavy work for Chuckles this week I'm glad to say!
Lots of packages coming this week which is exciting but none of them are actually books! I've got three rugs ordered, measuring spoons and timer for the kitchen, decorative door stickers and one of those things that gets the juice out of fruit. We should have that last item but I can't find it anywhere in the kitchen for some reason. I do have a few second hand books coming from suppliers in America like Better World Books that I ordered two weeks ago so they must also be about due but maybe coming next week. I'm really pleased that I'm not spending a ton on new books this year. Only one purchase in paperbacks has been a brand new author, the others are books in series I follow.
I'm pleased to have completed my first reading challenge of the year! I have now completed all forty of the reviews for the books that I read last year, which I'm so pleased about! That backlog has been following me right through 2018 and I'm glad to be done with it. Now I just have to worry about the books I've read this year so I don't have a huge new backlog! I'm pretty happy with how the challenges themselves are going and I just need to pick up my reading a bit. I'm already in planning mode for my March reads, which is fun but seriously, are we nearly at March already? I have so many things that I want to read and I'm struggling to choose! Are you guys planning for March or just winging it?

Sounds like you are really looking forward to some new household goodies and I'm glad you're taking it easy. Medical stuff can be so stressful, yet stress is bad for your health. Seems like a never-ending cycle. I have a doctor appointment this week I'm also kind of dreading even though I know it's just a BP checkup.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing 40 reviews (you can't see but I'm bowing to your awesomeness!)
I'm pretty excited about getting that backlog dealt with! I'm more relaxed at dealing with the rest of it now! Ugh, medical appointmrents are designed to get us stressed out! Book therapy required!
Delete40 REVIEWS!! YAAYAAAYYY!!! GO YOU!! That is amazing!
ReplyDeleteMary
Yes, everything from last year finally dealt with!
DeleteCongrats on the challenge!! I kind of plan my monthly TBRs but I'm a moody reader too, so I typically wait for the last minute to decide lol.
ReplyDeleteI might change my March options yet but I like making sure I have options and maybe different genres available! This time I'm targeting fitting things in for challenges.
DeleteI hope you are feeling more chipper soon and great job with your challenge.

Sadly it's back to work on the kitchen next!
DeleteYeah I'm kinda shocked it's almost March too! Congrats on the first challenge though- that's awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to get that backlog out of the way!
DeleteCongrats on finishing up your backlog of reviews from 2018! And I can't believe it's almost March either. I have a few books in mind to read, and a few posts in mind, but nothing too concrete yet. Should I start panicking now, or wait 'til next week? :D
ReplyDeletePanic now!!! *grins* I like the planning...it's following the plan that I sometimes struggle with!
DeleteMail that isn't bills is always welcomed! And, wow! 40 reviews. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI do like the buzz of unwrapping a package!
DeleteSounds like you've been busy! Maybe that's why you're tired.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm trying not to pile too much on my TBR. I need to whittle it down before I pick up new reads.
I seem to be tired whether I do anything or not! Today I'm doing a few minor things in the kitchen then working on my news scrapbook!
DeleteI am sorry to hear that you aren't feeling so hot. I hate it when I don't have any energy. Sounds like you are getting a lot done around the house. Congrats on getting caught up with your reviews!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a productive year so far!
DeleteGood job on getting through the first reading challenge! I'm so sorry to hear about your fatigue. While not as severe I can relate to feeling run down. I've been struggling with that myself. I hope you get to feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI think I need longer in my bed and less stress! The house beside us is up for sale and I'm nervous about getting bad neighbours again.
DeleteThat is some accomplishment getting all of those backlog reviews done. I'm so far behind with mine and it will be my main focus for the next couple of months. March is when I'll begin.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to finally get all the reviews for last year done. I need a few good weeks to get closer to catching up and I'll be happy!
DeleteI've been feeling super off as well! I've been going to bed at 9/9:30 each night, and I'm still exhausted during the day... must be the time of year! I hope you feel better soon!! <3

I'm staying up too late then getting up early for Amazon packages! Too much stress in my life as well!
