Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish
in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of
2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to
bring bookish friends together. http://www.thatartsyreadergirl.com/top-ten-tuesday/

I have so many books on my TBR that need attention so I don't get the time to re-read much. I tend to re-read a first book in a series if I'm doing a full series catchup but not much else. Here are the books I most want to go and read.
1) Suzanne Collins-The Hunger Games trilogy
I loved this trilogy and want to re-read it before I go and watch the four films.
2) JK Rowling-Harry Potter
I used to re-read Harry Potter every year but haven't done so for about five years!
3) George RR Martin-A Song of Ice & Fire
I finished A Dance With Dragons at the start of this month and the last two books aren't out yet but I already want to read them again!
4) Stephen King-It
My all-time favourite book which I've read many times but not for quite a few years. I'd like to read it again and then binge watch the new films!
5) Philippa Gregory-Plantagenet & Tudors series
I want to read this entire series in the correct historical order. There are a handful that I haven't read and a couple I'll give a second chance to.
6) Jaye Wells-Red Headed Stepchild
I'm doing a series catchup in February where I want to complete the series and that means a re-read of this first book in the series first!
7) Kelly Meding-Three Days To Dead
This is another series that I want to catch up with this year so I'm planning to re-read the first book and then dive right in.
8) Christina Henry-Black Wings
This will be another series that has sat unfinished on my shelves for years. I'll re-read book one and then finish the series.
9) DD Barant-Dying Bites
I'm on a mission to catch up with quite a few urban fantasy series this year so I'll re-read this one and then complete the series.
10) MLN Hanover-Unclean Spirits
The last of my planned series catchups so far this year. I'll re-read this book and then complete the series.

Although you have some super popular books on this list, I have read none, though I did get acquainted with some of the stories via film adaptations. I am not a re-reader either. There are just too many books unread that are calling to me.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to find time to re-read favourites with all the shiny new books to tempt you!
DeleteDefinitely re-read the The Hunger Games before you watch the movies!
ReplyDeleteI got the audio cd trilogy cheap so I might try to listen to that if I can sit still long enough!
DeleteHunger Games is one I'd like to re-read. I really enjoyed it the first time.
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter is one I used to re-read so much years ago but I haven't read any of them in about 6 or 7 years now. :(
It's tough to find time to re-read with all these great new books coming out!
DeleteI guess I'm doing my re-read of the HP series now, reading to my daughter at night before she goes to sleep. We're now halfway through the last book, so almost done!

I never get tired of reading Harry Potter! I enjoy it every time and need to get back to it!
DeleteI always always mean to re-read HP, but never got around to it either. I have to admit some of the longer ones really are still intimidating.
ReplyDeleteBig books on my bookshelves intimidate me! It can put me off reading them!
DeleteI've read a couple of them, but never finished the series. I am terrible about that.

This is my year of series catchup! I want to get through as many as I can!
DeleteI'd like to reread Harry Potter too and I'd really like to read Phillippa Gregory. I've had her books on my TBR for years but never gotten around to reading her.
ReplyDeleteI've read most of Philippa Gregory's Tudor books but I'd like to go back and read them in historical order and write better reviews!
DeleteI like to reread some books. It helps me when I can't decide what to read next. I reread It after seeing the second movie. It still creeped me out even after all theses years.
ReplyDeleteI want to read It again and I still have to watch the first film!
DeleteI wish I'd liked Philippa Gregory's books! It seems like it'd be up my alley, but somehow...
ReplyDeleteIt's disappointing when we want to love something and then just don't!
DeleteI hardly like VERY RARELY re-read a book. In fact the only book that I can remember that I have read more than once was Pride and Prejudice. It really is the only one. In fact I have watched that movie about 100 or more times and North and South is getting a close second but I have not read the book YET.

I think when I read, I'm looking for those special books for my permanent collection! I love going back to a favourite book and finding new layers to it!
DeleteGreat list! I've been meaning to do some rereading, specifically Michael Crichton novels!

I really need to fit some of these books in!
