The above picture is how I feel right now! I spent this morning in that kitchen again, getting a few more things done. I had my Power Foam and scouring pad and wasn't afraid to use it! I was giving a full deep clean to the oven, washing machine and cupboard doors. They all look gleaming and clean so it was worth the effort today. I need to go through the cupboard with all the plates, cup and gadgets and clear anything I don't need for the charity shop but it'll be at least next week before I do that! I also tidied away the last few items into the food and cleaning cupboards. I need to get my dad to do a few things and then we're done with the kitchen.
The next things I need to deal with are decorative more than tiring. I have that stain glass effect sticker for windows (above) and I want to get that on the windows in the hall, the bathroom and my bedroom. I doubt my dad would let me do the living room windows but he might let me do that for the kitchen! I then need to get a pile of old boxes and other assorted junk to the rubbish dump and bags of unwanted books and other things to the charity shop.
This week I have the misery of a trip to the bloody dentist. After a few bad experiences, I haven't been near one in about 15 years and my teeth are a mess. I'm expecting fillings, extractions and root canal work so I'm dreading it. This is my first appointment with my dad's dentist and I know he'll just be taking a look and deciding on treatment but I'm a nervous wreck! I'm not looking forward to upcoming pain and terror!

Ono, take care of yourself!! We need you out here in blogland. I hate going to the dentist but it's a necessary evil. I hope it's not as painful as you fear.
ReplyDeleteI'll be glad when the weekend arrives and I'll know what I'm facing over the next couple of months!
DeleteYou can do the dentist thing - Sending good vibes your way. That window treatment looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteThe stained glass effect is pretty and I want to get that up in the next couple of weeks at the latest. The house is gradually taking shape!
DeleteI hate going to the dentist! Sorry you have to go. Hope it's not a horror show.
ReplyDeleteI'm so dreading it Lark!
DeleteStain glass is so pretty! Sorry about the dentist though. Sounds like you're just crazy busy.
ReplyDeleteIt's been non stop this month, it's crazy! But I am gradually getting things done which is good!
Deletekudos for getting all those chores done. Best of luck at the dentist!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Do you have an actual blog book I can follow? I can't find much to say on writing posts I'm afraid!
DeleteI know it has to be a relief to be near the end of all of the work you have been doing in the kitchen. The stained glass stickers sound really cool. I can't wait to hear how that turns out for you. Good luck at the dentist!
ReplyDeleteThe stained glass will look really great! I might take some photos when it is done! I'm pleased to see the progress in the house-I'll be glad to get it done!
DeleteThe stained glass will be lovely! I feel ya about the dentist. I had to have the under the gums extensive cleaning. It was a long process but no real pain. My head was numb for hours. I think the multitude of shots they gave me to numb the pain hurt more than the procedure and it was worth it. I hope you find your teeth are in better shape than you think,
ReplyDeleteI knew I would need a lot of work done. He didn't say how much but it is one extraction, a crown, one that will be either extraction or crown, plus fillings. We're waiting on the X Rays to come back before I know for sure!
DeleteOuch Ouch Ouch ... good luck with your dentist appointment Chuckles !I hope you don't have a whole heap to get done!
ReplyDeleteI survived the first appointment and I have two weeks to worry before the first filling!
DeleteI bet your windows will look pretty after they’re stain-glassed. I hope the dentist trip goes well! I don’t have dental insurance, so I can only afford to go every few years. Luckily, I haven’t needed anything too painful done in a really long time.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I think the windows will look great! I'm also putting up a new shower curtain in the bathroom to brighten the place up. The house will be great when I'm done! I'm glad that I don't have to pay for the dental treatment with all the stuff I need done. It can be good to be in the UK for healthcare!
DeleteWow, you are more ambitious than me. lol I feel your pain on your upcoming dentist visit. Every time I go in, something new pops up and I hate it. I take meds before I go...

I was almost sick this morning, I was so nervous! The dentist was nice and patient but I will need a lot done! I have 2 weeks to worry for the next appointment!
DeleteOh no! I ended up getting the best dentist after ages avoiding them, and he's really kind and gentle with me (even though my original dentist told me he was really businesslike and wouldn't coddle me, haha). Totally tell the dentist you're scared and you'd like him to tell you what he's doing/not tell you what he's doing/stop if you hum happy birthday/etc. A good dentist will listen and work with you on it!
ReplyDeleteMy dad goes to the same dentist and Mark told him that I was nervous and had bad experiences in the past. He was very kind and patient and said he'll explain everything and try to work with me on my fear issues. I felt comfortable with him thankfully!
DeleteWell done on getting your kitchen lovely and sparkly clean. The oven is one job I hate, although I love when it's finished and looks almost new again.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the dentist :-)
I hate every kind of cleaning! I'm not exactly a domestic goddess!
DeletePlease come clean my house after I'm done packing lol
ReplyDeleteI had a really bad experience with the dentist when I was a kid but I've been lucky enough to find really good ones - that understand and are patient with - my fears and phobias so good luck with that.

I shall politely decline your request! *grins* I'll be glad when it's done. You'll have so much to do and I have sympathy for you!
DeleteThis new dentist I met today was so nice, asking me about my fears and reassuring me that we'll deal with everything. I'm still scared of the treatment but I know he'll do his best for me. Can't ask much more!
I just deep cleaned my kitchen as well! The bathroom is up next this afternoon :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, lots of fun! Our work is never done!
DeleteI can totally get the dentist thing. They have to knock me out. I will not allow anyone to put a needle in my mouth. I am glad the kitchen is going great and I love the stained glass idea.
ReplyDeleteMary
The needles don't bother me but that drill does!
