Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about
sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical
or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store
or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books,
gifts and of course ebooks!
As some of you might have noticed, there was no STS post from me last week. This was because of a family crisis which meant I was not online for days or buying or reading anything. This is a link to the post about what happened.
So I still haven't managed to pick up a book because we are now getting work done in the house and preparing for my mum coming out of hospital. Honestly, it has been 6 months of upheaval and a break from it would be great! *sigh* Maybe next month!!!

It sounds like it's been an awful week, my thoughts are with you. I hope you get to relax with a book soon -- or just relax in general!
ReplyDeleteI think I forget what the word 'relax' means! Still, she has come through that bad spell and things are better. Thanks for your kind thoughts!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your mum, I hope she'll make a full recovery and you'll find the time to read soon! I spotted True Fire in Asda along with Joe Valentine and I was going to grab them both the next time I had money (Asda's £4 books are amazing) but of course they disappeared off of the shelves. I find it really annoying because some books will be on the shelves for months and then others, just a week. I can't keep up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Under The Mountain
I first saw it in Asda but got it on Amazon with a dvd so I could get the free postage for orders over £10! I'm a bit concerned about the comparison to Throne of Glass as I didn't like that one...I hope I can pick up a book this weekend as I'm WAY behind!!!
DeleteI hope your mum is much better soon and life gets a lot simpler for you soon too.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really could use one nice quiet week just to get my reading back on track!
DeleteAw, I hope this week is better for you. :|
ReplyDeleteThat's sure a lot of zombie reads! I like zombies, but I honestly haven't read too many. My reviews are usually met with "ew that's too gross" haha! XD Aaaand my sister looks at me weird. But I still should check out some more good ones!
My StS!
BRAAAAIIINNNSSS! Heh! Yeah I do like my zombie books though finding really good ones isn't always easy. My favourite so far is ZA Recht's Plague of the Dead, the first in a trilogy which I've yet to complete. Loved it!
DeleteI hope this week is better than last! Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteMy StS + Bonus Giveaway!
So do I Kim! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and say hi!
Deleteoh they're all new to me! I hope you'll like them. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI just want to get everything on my shelves read! Sometimes I feel like I'll never catch up!
DeleteNot heard of any of these but enjoy your reads. :)

I picked these up free on Smashwords-I can rarely resist a zombie story! Thanks for visiting and I'll be popping over to visit you today!
DeleteHoping that your mother feels better. Hey we all fall into reading slumps. It's nothing to be ashamed of. It happens.
ReplyDeleteGrace
Thanks Grace. If I could just get past feeling so tired all the time maybe I could get reading again. The books are piling up and a few more Amazon pre-orders are due to arrive...eeek!
DeleteMy thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I hope you will be able to find a little time to sneak away and read.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words Cindy. Yeah I hope that I can get a book of some kind looked at tonight. Once I get started on one my reading slump should pass. It's getting started that is the problem!
DeleteTrue fire looks really interesting! Enjoy everything this week (:
ReplyDeleteStacking the Shelves
That's the problem...too many interesting looking books! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLots of interesting looking books this week. I am unsure of True Fire and not sure if I am going to enjoy it or not. I haven't read Throne of Glass either so the comparison doesn't really help me. Fingers crossed that we both love it.
ReplyDeleteI think I read a few chapters of Throne of Glass and just didn't get into it. I'm in two minds about True Fire but we'll see how I get on with it-when I finally start reading again!!!
DeleteTrue Fire sounds pretty good. Enjoy all your new reads! :) My STS.
ReplyDeleteI hope to get started on True Fire soon!
DeleteGreat haul! This is the first that I've heard of all of these but We Are the Plague looks pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
I'm pleased with all the zombies this week! Now I just need to read them all...
DeleteTrue Fire! Ahhh, I've been seeing it everywhere, I so have to get around to buying that soon, especially since it's from Quercus, and I've loved most of there's so far. Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteHere's mine
Kirsty @ StudioReads
I have doubts about whether I'll like it but I'll give it a try!
DeleteI haven't search on amazon for free downloads in so long! I must soon :) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteJanina @ Synchronized Reading
I get most of my freebies at Smashwords-they're good for zombie stuff! Now I just need more time to read...
