Stacking the Shelves #32

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

So much for the quiet week of reading that I had planned...it has turned into another week of chaos with my mum not being very well after her chemotherapy last week. And to cap it off last night, the 16 year old next door decided to have one of her famous drinking parties. What is it with kids that they have to SCREAM every conversation instead of just talking??? One guy was certainly on drugs, the way he was wandering around staring at the moon like an idiot-or maybe he was a werewolf? Hmmm. Hard to tell really. By 1am the party showed no signs of slowing down and I tried to sleep wearing my dad's ear defenders which crippled my neck and made sleep impossible. So I'm very tired and grumpy this morning. What I wouldn't give to have the chance to move away from that lot and get some peace and quiet for the first time in about 10 years. *mutters darkly*

Stop by My Monday Musings to see what I read this week and my plans for next week. At the bottom of this post you'll find all the places where I lurk! Over the next few days I'll be visiting blogs to say hi!

  1. Sorry you've had such a rubbish week! I hope next week goes much better for you. Did you consider calling the police? I know it sounds extreme but it might make them think twice before disturbing everyone again... Hope you enjoy your new reads!

This week I visited UK's most beautiful library! Find me Under The Mountain

    1. I did consider it for a minute but figured I was probably better ignoring it in case I make things worse. Maybe I'm just being a grumpy sod and forgetting what it's like to be young!

  8. Sorry you had such a sucky week, I hate when my quiet reading days don't pan out. I HATE rude, noisy neighbours who have no consideration for anyone else; they're infuriating. Great haul this week, lots of interesting looking books. I hope you enjoy all your books and thanks for stopping by my haul! :)

    1. I haven't picked up a book for ages now! Too many other things getting in the way! Must make more effort starting tonight or the books will start breeding again...

  9. Oh, well that does sound like a crappy week, especially with your mum. Ugh, people can really be so inconsiderate, my next door neighbour and neighbour across the back were exactly like that, so annoying. :( I actually haven't heard of any of these but ohhh the Slow Burn cover is creeping me out. Hope things next week are better for you!
