2) Ben S Reeder-Exodus (Zompoc Survivor #1)

But with food, water and electricity about to run out, should they stay and hope for rescue or try to find a way past the zombies and out of the city?

4) Eric A Shelman-Dead Hunger (Dead Hunger #1)
An epidemic that transforms humans into zombie-like creatures has swept over the eastern United States and quite possibly the world, and Flex Sheridan doesn't like it one bit. In an effort to save his younger sister, Flex re-connects with perhaps the strongest woman he knows - Gem Cardoza, his former girlfriend. Together they take his six-year-old niece Trina, the only uninfected survivor of his sister's family, and his infected sister Jamie, and make a run from central Florida back to his isolated home in Lula, Georgia.

5) Joseph Talluto-White Flag of the Dead (WFOTD #1)
John Talon has lost his wife to the virus and after a tearful goodbye, he decides to try and take their baby son Jake away from home by bike to seek somewhere safer. His brother Mike is alive but trapped inside his own house and wants to follow John's example and flee if he can. Despite seeing the worst of human behaviour during a supply run, John joins up with two men also trying to escape-Tommy and Duncan-for safety in numbers. A zombie attack leaves them stranded at a gas station and when they escape, civilians from the nearby houses join them in a run for a school and the chance to survive as a community.

6) John Shirley-Doom

They are able to send a distress signal to Earth and a team of highly trained combat soldiers are sent to Mars to find the missing scientists and end the threat. 7) Nicholas Sansbury Smith-Extinction Horizon (Extinction Cycle #1)

To make matters worse, the team are told of a supersoldier vaccine experiment VX99 that took place in Vietnam and went wrong, and it may be linked to this facility going dark. Beckham's orders are to breach the facility, rescue anyone alive and find the cure if one exists but what they find in the dark is from their worst nightmares...

8) Saul Tanpepper-Gameland omnibus
Jess and her friends can't afford the top of the line entertainment system that rich people have so things like Gameland are out of their reach. They continue to try and hack their way in without success but then one of them comes up with the idea of going on a day trip out to Long Island, evacuated when the zombies came and is now quarantined, where the Gameland game zone is situated. The thought of catching a glimpse of the infected for real and maybe being able to hack into the system when nearer to the game zone outweights the dangers involved in going. To get there they must get through checkpoints then sneak into the flooded tunnels that lead to Long Island. They have no idea what to expect when they get there.
