Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend
Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything
interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll
be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of
like The Sunday Post that some of you do!
Please note that I'll be visiting your
STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by
Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave
comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my
profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that
on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes,
I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by
Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!
I can't believe another week has passed. I'm finding it very hard to get motivated to come and use Blogger for anything except the must do posts on my list. I'm avoiding even trying book tags at the moment as that could be a stressful experience, trying to do so many covers and graphics in one post. I've had a lot to do in the house, the last of my prepping packages arriving from various companies, looking after the squirrels and I'm about to start that big tidy up as soon as I can get rid of this minor virus that seems to be bugging me and my dad. It's A virus, not THE virus so nothing to really worry about but we are going to isolate indoors just as a precaution for other people in the area.
It's been a hard week to get motivated to do anything AGAIN but I did finish two non fiction books and tonight I do plan to curl up with my ereader and read a bit of horror, as it is Spooky Book week! I'm going to try and get a few Halloween type posts up on the blog this month but how much I get done will sort of depend on how Blogger behaves! NB In this post paragraph keeps sticking and taking forever to shift back to nomal spacing and weird numbers and letters keep appearing (RGB followed by numbers). Each action is also taking up to ten seconds to change something so I'm getting annoyed again. Looks like I need to get back on with stuff at Goodreads.

I did the same this afternoon, it was pouring down so I looked at my list and picked the first creepy book on it, then promptly fell asleep half an hour later!
ReplyDeleteI'm always psyched up to read but by the time I go upstairs each night, I lose the urge and want to sloth in front of a dvd instead!
DeleteI hope you feel better soon! Good luck with all your projects.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Ugh way too many things are needing my attention right now but I don't have enough hours in each day to do them all!
DeleteI'm behind on everything too, so don't feel too bad! 😉
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? 💬
I've been behind on everything for the last couple of months! At the start of the pandemic I was going along on nervous energy and getting lots done but recently I'm struggling to do anything much!
Deletesounds like we are both having the same problem...concentrating and motivation...this will pass...eventually...
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
I hope so Sherry, for both of us! I hate having so much to get to and not getting anywhere fast with it!
DeleteI think I'm actually ignoring how much Blogger is bugging me. Don't know what that says about my current state of mind :)
ReplyDeleteQuite a few of us are struggling at the moment with concentration and motivation. I have so much to do, it just gets me down!
DeleteThe new blogger is rather annoying. I am finding that I have to go to html to get things to go where I want them and it is making me cross-eyed to read through all of that code. I don't feel like this is any kind of improvement. I hope you and your dad are feeling better and are having a good week!
ReplyDeleteI'm having nothing but hassle trying to get the spacing to stay on normal instead of paragraph. I need to see if there is a default thing to set it or something but it's driving me crazy every post I do! I did five TTT posts today and I was swearing and yelling all through it!
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. Hope you get lots of rest and get rid of this virus soon. Lots of isolation sounds like a good idea. Not only do you not want to spread the virus there's no telling what other people are wandering around with!
ReplyDeleteThankfully it went after a few days which is a relief. I don't need my immune system going into chaos at the moment! I don't really have any contact with other people so isolating was pretty easy this weeek!
DeleteSorry blogger has stolen motivation from you. :(
ReplyDeleteI can't pin my lack of enthusiasm for blogging on anything in particular at the moment... It's just everything going on in life and the world getting to me again. Luckily, I'm escaping into books this time around! I had a horrible block when this hit in March. :(
This is my favourite time of year and if I went for horror or scary stories, I'd be on a binge... Enjoy your spooky reading week/month!
If I could give the people at Blogger a good shake I'd do it! They are ruining blogging for so many of us but they just don't care. We're in lockdown again, relying on deliveries again and I still find it hard to get motivated to blog or read. It's really frustrating!
DeleteI always plan a horror binge at this time of year but for about the last three years I've hit a slump in October. That really bugs me!
