OK I'm going to do it! I'm a big brave Chuckles, me!!!
Over the next couple of weeks I'll be doing a proper search of my e-readers and physical bookshelves to try and locate all the books I have that are not currently on my Goodreads TBR. I suspect there could be hundreds! I will then get them all added to the TBR so I have an accurate number of all the books that I have. I'll be doing a blog post for each pile of additions so I can also showcase some of the things I'm adding, rather than adding them all to my weekend roundup as I've been doing recently.
This is kind of a scary process because I know this will take me way above 1000 books again but I think having an accurate count of what I need to read and having all the books available to count towards Tackling The TBR will be of benefit in the long run.
Wish me luck, I'm going in!!!

Oh my goodness, that sounds like a massive chore! Not that I mean any discouragement because, like you say, I'm sure it will be beneficial when you've finished hunting. Chuckles' epic bookfinder quest. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt's a big chore for sure but long overdue! I actually do feel a bit better starting to get it done and it will benefit me in the long run. It's also fun to do these posts to showcase the books in question! Chuckles Epic Bookfinder Quest...hey I like that!
DeleteGood luck! I once found a hanful of ebooks on my laptop that I had forgotten about. I won them and kept the files on my laptop because I didn't have an ereader yet. But I read and reviewed all of them over time.
ReplyDeleteI will get to every book eventually! Well that's the plan! This will help to get everything catalogued and ready to read, making things easier. The problems us book fans face eh?!
DeleteGood luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lark! I feel better about my decision to do this now and it will be a good thing for me once it's done.
DeleteUnderworld- I still need to see those movies.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the films either! My dad was a big fan of them and having vampires and werewolves I should like them!
DeleteOh my gosh! This is a great project!! I tried to make a TBR jar once based on all the books (physical and ebook) I owned but hadn't read and immediately got overwhelmed. I should try again. And good luck! You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteIt is taking me so long to get through the buggers and I'm mentally drained with it but I'm getting closer to the end thankfully. Reading them will be much easier!
DeleteI enjoyed the Underworld movies and I still need to make time for The Toll.
ReplyDeleteI need to make time for the films too. This has reminded how many books I need to deal with! I can't wait to start reading them but I'll wait until I have an official start total!
DeleteI hope that you are finding some books that you are really excited to read. I would give a few of these a try!
ReplyDeleteThere are tons that I've got excited about as I do these posts! There are books I forgot I had and so many genres to pick from!
DeleteI've been wanting to do that too. I wonder just how many books have gotten lost in the piles and ereaders.
ReplyDeleteI'm discovering the answer to that question now! I'd forgotten about a lot of these books and choosing what to read next could be a problem!
DeleteThis is a scary project but I like seeing what you're adding. I somehow have never read any Enid Blyton. I don't think she was as popular or available here in the States when I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit scary and overwhelming but it is sort of fun at the same time! Enid Blyton was so popular in the UK though her books aren't PC now!
DeleteYou grabbed Three Mages!!!!!! I'm bouncing in my seat with excitement right now. :)
ReplyDeleteI've had it for over a year-not sure exactly when I got it. I do love the covers for the series though. I hope I can rediscover my love of UF soon!
