I've seen The Abuse of Ashley Collins on Twitter a few times and it sounds like it would be a hard one to read.
It does have a few really gritty scenes that aren't for the fainthearted. For those who like dark horror it is well written.
These are new ones to me. I am curious about The Date.
The Montague & Strong urban fantasy series is one of the newer ones I've tried and stuck with. The Date is a fun short story sequel.
The abuse of Ashley Collins has me curious...
Most of it is what you'd expect from a torture plot except a couple of nasty incidents. Overall it was a good dark and well written novella.

She doesn't look pretty by the end of the story!
Nothing higher than 3 stars all week? Bummer!
It has been a bit meh rather than brilliant!
