Stacking the Shelves #42

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

This has been a hellish week thanks to the damn heatwave that won't go away. I don't do well in extreme heat-I barely eat, don't sleep, get heat rashes(which are driving me mental this morning) and I get nausea and bad stomachs. So with the weather mostly being sunny through June and July and to continue into August, I'm miserable right now. I just want it to be the cold winter days where I curl up in front of a big fire with a book!!! My dad doesn't like it much either. So we're both suffering and are very lethargic so the house clearing is on hold until the weather finally breaks. Summer...bah Humbug!

    1. Most of my buys are still paperbacks...they beat the ereader 4-3 this week! I don't buy any book for ereaders over £1 in price due to my budget. Paperbacks I can trade after I read them which is better than just deleting unwanted stuff. Takes up more room though!

    1. It looks really good doesn't it? I've got HUNDREDS of books that look great that I need to get reading but I'm being distracted by the Commomwealth Games!

  5. Haha! I completely agree with your hatred of this heat! I am so done with it, I just want it to be freezing cold again. This heat is just too much right now, I honestly can't deal with it.

Great mix of books this week, they look interesting. I hope you enjoy them all! :)

    1. It was raining here last night but it was still too hot to sleep. I'm getting a bit grumpy about it now and next week is meant to be hot again. *grumbles*

  7. Nice looking assortment of books. Our summer hasn't been too bad - cooler than normal. I stay inside our air conditioned house when the weather goes over 80. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!

    1. Sadly, most houses in the UK don't have AC so when the heatwave comes, we get cooked!

    1. Yes they are all shiny and new! Sorry that I can't leave a message on your site. I never give third parties like that DISQUS thing my details so they won't let me comment. Sorry!

  10. Haha yeah, we got a little break for a couple days where the temp went down to the 90s, but it's back up to the 100s now. 105 degrees is NOT my friend. Anyway, hope you cool off soon and enjoy your books.
