Chuckles Weekend Roundup

Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do!

Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!
****************
It's been a really busy week, which I've set out in my Dog Days Of Summer post so I won't go into any detail here. A lot of furniture moving and legal stuff to deal with and a washing machine drama involving King Prawns! Anyway, I'm having a total rest over the weekend with a bit of reading, TV watching and blogging before some more work around the house next week and at my uncle's house.

On the reading side of things I didn't really get anything much done as I was having early nights all week due to all the work we were doing but I have now started three books which I intend to try and finish by next weekend so wish me luck, I'm going in! To help get me back into reading I'm relaunching my Tackling The TBR challenge which I first launched in December 2018, so I'll see if this gets me focused on reading again as I'm sick of getting nothing done! I had a final political and horror book splurge before I get started and my first update post will be July 7th. I really hope it works!

I'm actually going into the weekend fully caught up with comments on my blog and blog visits so it has been a very productive week overall.

Films & TV & Music
It's mostly been background films while we work-the whole Harry Potter series, a bit of Star Wars, and watching some of the football from the English Premiership which is back. I have a soft spot for Liverpool so I was delighted to see them clinch their first title in 30 years last night! In Scotland our players are still on the summer break ready to start a new season in the late summer/autumn. I also made progress on season 14 of Great British Menu.

The Week Ahead
As soon as a few packages arrive, my dad and I will be starting on packing my uncle's clothes ready for when the charity shops can start collecting again. We have the fridge and freezer to spring clean and all the appliances and furniture need removing at some point. But a little bit at a time and we'll get there. On the book side of things I'm getting started on these three books to cover different moods! I'm not sure how I ended up picking up book four in the Tudor Court series but they are all stand-alone so no harm done!
