Chuckles Weekend Roundup

Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do!

Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!

I don't really know where time is going at the moment. I've been really busy again this week trying to get more clearing up done. There is still too much stuff lying about my bedroom floor, piles of cds magazines, dvds and books that I have no current shelf space for. I decided that I needed a storage unit to put it all inside until I can deal with each individual item. I bought a fold up one with a bit of a retro design. OK it takes up a bit more floor space than I'd like but it at least looks tidier. I can't do much more with my room until I start reducing the books, cds and dvds which will take time, especially with the charity shops still closed. Here is the storage unit which can also be used as a stool or foot rest.

As well as tidying this week, I finally started doing a lot of time consuming tasks on and off the computer, which ate into the time I use for blogging and reading on a normal day. I kind of feel that I need to get a lot of this kind of thing out of my way so I can get back into a more settled routine. Sorry to be neglecting you guys but I'm getting stuff done that I've put off for years. My dad is trying to get his room into some kind of order as well so there has been a lot to get through. I'm hoping the worst is behind us though. I'm also finally getting a few films watched (reviews to follow) and of course taking time off every Saturday to keep up with the football!

Chuckles Blogging World
Way behind on everything. I have a Tackling The TBR, TTT, 6 Degrees, film review, Friday Reading Roundup to write plus blog visits and comments to reply to. A busy few days for me to get caught up with everything!

Watched a lot of cricket in the mornings-India v England and Pakistan vSouth Africa. Both good test matches I'm pleased to say. I finally managed to watch a few films I hadn't seen before. I watched Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman and The Greatest Showman. Reviews to follow...

The Week Ahead
Hoping to read something. Maybe watch another film or start on a new TV series. I really need to do a book cull which is always time consuming! I'll be checking every book on Goodreads, looking at reviews and seeing if I can part with anything I no longer want to read.

  1. I like the storage trunk! It’s so frustrating that I can’t get to a used bookstore. I’m afraid to open the closet door because stacks of books fall on me. I need my vaccine so I can get rid of them.

    1. It's pretty cool isn't it! I'm so annoyed about the charity shops being closed as we have about 6 binbags of clothes and eight bags of books, cds and dvds to donate. It is taking up so much room. I just want to get back to some kind of normal where everything is open and you don't fear going out. I'm not sure we'll ever get back to that.

    1. Getting the clutter out of my bedroom is the easy part. Getting it out of the house is impossible until lockdown is lifted and the shops open again...

    1. It's a great way to hide all the stuff you don't want to look at right now!

  4. At least you are getting some stuff done. That's a nice storage place to just put everything until you can deal with it.

    1. And with it being a fold up box it can be stored when not in use. Lots of good things about it!
