Chuckles Weekend Roundup

Welcome to my feature Chuckles Weekend Roundup where I will be looking at what books I've received, anything interesting I've done or bought or watched and other random stuff. I'll be taking a look back at what happened in my blogging world too, sort of like The Sunday Post that some of you do! 

Please note that I'll be visiting your STS/SP as normal, but I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow DISQUS to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I am the only one who does that on my social media! I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account. Sometimes, I have problems leaving messages on blogs hosted by Wordpress-they try to block me because I deleted my account with them but I will persevere as it only happens the odd time!

A much better week I'm glad to say! I've been sitting in a nice warm room, blogging and TV watching, watching people wrapped up for the cold rushing by! To make things better, Amazon packages have been arriving! I got the long awaited GoT books and they are huge heavy encyclopedia things with gorgeous graphics and photographs! I got a stunning looking Jaime Lannister figure for my collection, a couple of second hand political memoirs, an Ant Middleton DVD re-creating the journey of Captain Bligh after the attempted Mutiny on the Bounty (man I love Ant!) and a 3D puzzle of Winterfell. I had intended to buy more of the GoT painting by numbers things but sadly they are no longer on Amazon so I got the puzzle instead. It sounds like a lot but some was pre-ordered and soon I'll be going into my winter no-buying spell where I'll but nothing until January!

It was a better reading week. Extra work around the house and less sleep have made me a bit tired but the reading was unaffected thankfully and I got a few books dealt with. See my Currently Reading section in this post and my Friday Reading Roundup post for the details.

My dad and I finished with American Ninja Warrior 8 and Sasuke 32 and 33. I've also watched Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, and re-watched the first four Harry Potter films.

I got two of last week's selections read but still struggling to get started on my series challenge. I'm still confident I can do it before the end of the month so I must try harder. Tonight I WILL finish Dying Bites, my re-read for that challenge! Next up I'm concentrating on the SF and series challenges.
