Reading with Chuckles #17

Welcome to Reading with Chuckles! This is where I fill you in on what I'm reading each week-what it is, where I got it or heard about it, what I think of it, if I'm continuing with it or abandoning it and any special offers I'm aware of where you can try the book yourself. Comments are welcome but no spoilers please! It's not fair to other readers!

I am now on to my winter readathon. This means I'm turning my attention to series that I've started and liked but never got round to finishing. So I hope to get through a LOT of books and catch up with a few favourites!

This week I continued with the Jennifer Rardin series, completing book four. It wasn't as good as I hoped. Books three and four are full of our team fighting all the time, losing the action and humour of the start of the series. Disappointing. I moved on to read four non fiction books which were all pretty good. Claws was a really good horror thriller with smart killer cats which is well worth a read if you get the chance. Next up were two zombie short stories. I liked Zombie Crusade but Rot was a pretty good description of that book. I didn't get into Ethan-it was too slow and I won't be continuing with the series. The Grimm Diary prequels were well written but it just didn't grab me and I didn't like a few of the characters. It's a pity because the covers are so beautiful! So that was a pretty successful reading week!
