I've finally found an easy to use graphic to get some pie charts for my monthly and yearly stats! Thank you to Ronyell for sharing this on a recent blog post! It's dead easy to use and gets you graphs and pie charts in minutes.

So here are my reading stats from January-June this year based on genre:
What genres have you read most this year so far? More Male or Female authors? Mostly Series or Stand Alone?

I love looking at people’s reading stats. A lot of the stuff I read is genre-bending, so I’m not sure which genre I read most. I know the majority of the books I read are standalones.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I love looking at pie charts on people's blogs to see what they are reading. It's great to find something easy to use to do my own now!
DeleteThe genre that I've probably read the most of this year is either romance or YA. I'm not too sure about them being more male of female but I'm going to guess that it was probably more female authors. I feel like I've read A TON of series this year. I always love looking at these types of charts. I think they are so interesting. Hope you have a great second half of the year in reading!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun constructing this chart...very easy to use too! I'm already thinking about a nice pie chart for the end of July! There doesn't seem to be as many stand alones these days and I'm swamped with series I need to catch up on!
DeleteWow, you have read a ton of series books!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to check that nifty gadget out.
I enjoy pie charts on other blogs as it is easy to see the information and understand it. Next time I'll play with the colours a bit more but I'm pleased it was so easy to make!
DeleteI HEART CHARTS! OMG look at that HUGE Z orange area! [shudders uncontrollably] not surprised about the huge gender gap because the genres you like are mostly written by male authors :)
ReplyDeleteI love these things too! They were such fun to play around with and next time I'll change the colours a bit. I'm not sure that there will be so many zombies in the rest of the year as I have a lot of UF and other apocalypse to catch up with!
DeleteI tend to read more women authors than men for some reason...and I always end up reading more suspense/mystery and supernatural/fantasy than anything else. Though I am a pretty wide-ranging reader.
ReplyDeleteA lot of my UF is female written but most of my zombie and apocalypse writing is men. I think I probably read more male authors.
DeleteThanks for sharing that link! I want to try this. I bet mine will look a lot like yours. Good thing I like yellow and purple. LOL
ReplyDeleteAfter I saved my first graph I realised I could alter the colours so you can mix and match your faves!
