Can't Wait Wednesday

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at http://www.wishfulendings.com/ to spotlight and discuss books we're excited about but haven't read, which may not even be released yet.

This Week...the latest offering from Kevin Hearne!

This addictive and wildly imaginative series stars hero Atticus O’Sullivan: a handsome, tattooed Irishman who looks like a young rock star, but is in actuality a 2,000-year-old Druid with extraordinary magic powers. In Besieged, Atticus’ adventures throughout history are told in a collection of nine new and original short stories.

It's the new anthology of Iron Druid stories and it is to keep us going until the last book in the series is published next year *sob* This book is due for release early July so thankfully I don't have long to wait to get my hands on this pre-ordered little beauty!

More Atticus! More Owen! More Oberon!

    1. Atticus is a great character! He is childishly funny and love his conversations with his dog Oberon and his circle of strange friends!

  4. I know you have to be sorry to see this series end. Did you know there was a new novella out featuring Oberon? I can't think of the name right off. I sure hope it ends well for you.

    1. Yeah it's something to do with a squirrel on a train. The print version is over £20 which is hefty and I haven't been able to get a print version of The Purloined Poodle which is disappointing!

  6. Argh I still need to read these. I did like the Star Wars book Hearne wrote- something I don't normally read, but it was good.

    1. This is a good series to try if you want to read druids! I love that he can only recharge his magic if he can stand on bare soil. It adds a lot to fight scenes. The humour is great, the characters are great and there is a lot of action and mythology! OK I'm fangirling now...!

  12. I have heard many great reviews about the Iron Druid Series, but it really is a long series. I don't know if I can commit to a long series like the Iron Druid Series. I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance, and thank you so much for stopping by my WOW pick.

    1. I've got a zombie series where book fifteen has just come out so that will take a while to catch up with! I don't mind a long series but it has to keep the standard up!
