Books From The Backlog-Resident Evil Extinction

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf.  You might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. Go to Carole's blog and add your blog post link in to join in the fun! Hosted by Carole at https://carolesrandomlife.blogspot.co.uk/

This seems like a fun feature and I have been planning to take part since Carole launched this so at last, here we go! I have a TON of unread books to choose from in various genres and I'm looking forward to sharing some of them with everybody.

Following the events of "Resident Evil: Apocalypse," the beautiful, dangerous, enigmatic Alice returns, and this time she and her fellow survivor Carlos Olivera are running with a pack of humans led by a new ally, Claire Redfield. Together they are cutting through the wastelands of the United Stateson a long trek to Alaska. Hunted by the minions of the scheming Dr. Isaacs, Alice has zombies hungry for her flesh and the Umbrella Corporation's monstrouslab rats hungry for her blood...while Alice herself hungers only for revenge.

I bought this in September 2015 but can't seem to get round to reading it! I want to get it read soon so I can watch the film.

  1. I love this film franchise and ADORE Alice but have never considered the books. I hope you find time for it soon too because I'm sure it's right up your alley - and the movie was enjoyable too!

    1. The first two books are the same as the films with a bit more info on Matt and his sister's plot and Alice and Spence at the mansion which I enjoyed. I hope the next one is the same as it's the same author! I so need to catch up with the films!

  2. Unusual to see a book based on a film rather than the other way around!

    1. Usually these film novelizations are poor but the first two were actually very good!

  4. I loved all of the movies and have a couple of the video games. I wonder if I'd like the books too.

    1. The first two books are the same as the film and I expect this one is too. You get a bit more depth on all the characters which is nice and the plot that Matt's sister and Alice are doing. I think if you like the films you'll probably like the books.

  5. I have been finding myself taking notice of more zombie books lately so this one looks really good to me. I hope you enjoy it, Chuckles!

  6. Love that cover. I haven't watched the show, but maybe I'll give it a try after seeing that, because the Vegas sign in the dust definitely has me curious.
