Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish
in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of
2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to
bring bookish friends together. http://www.thatartsyreadergirl.com/top-ten-tuesday/

I put together a summer reading list just a week ago so it was a matter of picking ten of the books I want to read before the end of August!
1) JR Tate-Drought Warning
This is book two in an extreme weather trilogy. I've read and enjoyed the first one, so I aim to read the other two before the end of summer.
2) Jaye Wells-Green Eyed Demon
I seem to have no motivation to read urban fantasy at the moment but I need to get this series done for my series catchup challenge. This is book three out of five.
3) Kate Emerson-The Pleasure Palace
This is on the list for my Royal Challenge and it follows the story of a young woman at Court who was an alleged mistress of Henry VIII.
4) Hunter Shea-The Montauk Monster
This is my dad's favourite Hunter Shea book and he wants me to hurry up and read it!
5) Jeff VanderMeer-Annihilation
Just recently bought the film cheap and want to read the book first, though I'm worried about everyone saying both are weird!
6) Chris Jameson-Shark Beach
A recent addition and I want to get to this one very soon. Great cover and I'm looking forward to it!
7) Nick Robinson-Election Notebook
I'm trying to plough through the cheap hardbacks on my shelf from charity shops and this political non fiction book will be one of my next reads!
8) Lee Dunter-Crowded But Desolate
One of the many zombie books that are lurking on my e-reader. I'm a bit in two minds with this so want to make it a priority to deal with.
9) Hugo Navikov-The Found World
I've read another dinosaur book by the author which was decent and this is only about 130 pages. Another priority read.
10) Conn Iggulden-Darien
There are a few fantasy books that I grabbed in charity shops over the last 18 months and this is one of them. I based my choice on knowing the author so I'll see what it's like.

I see some familiar authors here and have no doubt that you will get to these and so many more!
ReplyDeleteI've got three of them read this week which is a good start!
DeleteI hope you love all these! I’m going to be working so much this summer that I probably won’t get much reading done.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
The Found World was a bit disappointing but Election Notebook and Green Eyed Demon were really good!
DeleteShark Beach sounds fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI plan to read a shark book called White Pointer and then get on to this one soon!
DeleteI hope you're liking most of what you're reading.
ReplyDeleteI've read three so far-two 4 star reviews and a 2 star. I'm not complaining about that!
DeleteI'm so curious to see what you think of Annihilation! I'm still trudging through book three, but I already want to reread Annihilation!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like quite a short read so I hope to get to that one maybe next week so I can watch the film soon. Fingers crossed as I WANT to like it!
DeleteThrilled to see lots of sharks and monsters on this list! :D

ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
I'll just be glad to finally get a good summer of reading done! I've had bad slumps the last few summers but this summer I feel very motivated!
DeleteHope you enjoy!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Noel!
DeleteI thought Annihilation was weird, haha, but I hope you like it- it's not bad, just a little different, I thought?
ReplyDeleteI think I might make it a priority to read it and get it over with! I hope I like it!
DeleteI'm curious what you think of off Annihilation since it was a DNF for me! Hope you do love it!
ReplyDeleteI do have concerns about it but we'll find out next week!
DeleteI keep forgetting about Top Ten Tuesday. I think it is because during the summer I lose track of what day it is - that's why some of my Saturday posts go up so late. Oops!
ReplyDeleteAnother two days and it is another TBR update already! I don't know where the time is going but I'm at the end of June and wondering how to fit in double the reading I've done so far!
