Chuckles Cover Love #130-Dinosaurs

If there is one thing that makes a great book even better, it is when it has a cover that we love! The cover design is what catches the eye as we browse through a bookstore shelf or check out the Amazon or Goodreads recommendations. The right cover makes me look closer at a book, to read the blurb and maybe make a purchase. A poor cover might mean I never look at the blurb at all.

NB: I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow them to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account.

Today, I'm looking at some of the great land and sea dinosaur, and extinct deadly animals covers! This is part one, part two following next week. Have you read any of these? Do you have them on TBR or wishlist, or are you tempted by any of them?

  1. Beck's Primordia series sounds kind of interesting but I had enough issues with his Alex Hunter books that I'd be hesitant to dive back into him.

    1. Primordia was a decent set of dinosaur books for me-I still have the third one to read. I also liked his megalodon book. I haven't tried the Alex Hunter books yet but I will at some point.

  2. I like both Crichton covers. The color scheme on Jurassic Park is a good one, and Landing Party successfully uses the same combination

    1. I can never resist dinosaur covers. I just finished with The Found World and found it a bit disappointing which is a pity.

  9. I read some Kathryn Meyer Griffith a long time ago and loved her. I should read some more by her as I think (from memory) that she was a really good horror writer. Some great covers here!

    1. I read a vampire book of hers that was decent but I did find her dinosaur book a bit slow to get into the story.
