Top Ten Tuesday
is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the
Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because we are
particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love
to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your
top ten lists! http://www.brokeandbookish.com/
NB: I don't follow or leave comments on blogs run by Google Plus, or DISQUS as I refuse to join something just to leave comments, and I won't allow them to follow new people, update my profile or post tweets 'on my behalf'. I won't comment on any blog that makes me sign in using another account.
This week the topic was about books we're looking forward to next year
1) Kevin Hearne-Scourged
Book 9 and the final one of the Iron Druid books. I just have the anthology to read to get me up to date with this series and then I can enjoy the final book in April.
2) Tim Shipman-Fall Out
A look at the recent 2017 General Election and other issues that have made it a year of political upheaval. Looking forward to reading this in May!
3) Michael Stephen Fuchs-The Siege/Endgame
They're out on Kindle but not yet on paperback! In 2018 I'll get my hands on the final two books of Arisen, the best zombie series EVER!
4) Patricia Briggs
The fifth Alpha and Omega book Burn Bright comes out but it might just be hardback, but I will certainly get my hands on the paperback of Mercy book ten Silence Fallen. I HATE waiting a full extra year for the paperbacks!!!
5) George RR Martin
OK, I'm not optimistic enough to hope for The Winds of Winter but we might be getting at least the first part of this Westeros history that he has been working on so that is something to look forward to!
6) Darrell Maloney
I love this apocalypse author! So far this year he has released 11 books across 6 series so I'm looking forward to whatever he has in store for next year! Exciting!
7) JK Rowling/Jim Kay-The Goblet of Fire illustrated
No publication date that I can find but one has come out every year so far so I hope the fourth one will be out next year.
8) Mike Kraus
I'm hoping for the omnibus paperback editions of Surviving the Fall and No Sanctuary. Liked what I've seen of them and want to grab them soon!
9) Hunter Shea-Jurassic, Florida
Hurricane Ramona unleashes prehistoric iguanas on Florida...I can't wait until June to get my hands on this one...
10) Benedict Jacka-Marked
Book nine in the Alex Verus series comes out in June!

ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read a new George RR Martin book soon.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I wish the man would write faster!
DeleteIt would be great if we could actually get a completely new and original story from Martin in 2018... although I'm never too optimistic

My TTT on Reading List
I'm only really looking for the last Game of Thrones novels to find out what he had in mind for the finish!
DeleteGreat list! I really need to start reading the Harry Potter illustrated books!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Top Ten Tuesday!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
It's a good excuse for a re-read...
DeleteGlad to hear the Iron Druid series is still going strong, and I hope that number 9 will be ending you were hoping for. I'm also interested in the new Patricia Briggs, if I can catch up with the Alpha and Omega series by then!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I hope it ends well as I hate it when a great series ends with a whimper! I do love my Patricia Briggs werewolves and need to catch up on a couple of them!
DeleteJurassic Florida might have to go on my list. And Winds of Winter- good grief we can hope!!!
ReplyDeleteHope rather than expectation I think! I'm really keen on the thought of Jurassic Florida...that should be a good one!
DeleteYes, I need the new Hunter Shea book as well. I'm reading Fury of the Orcas now and have to admit, it's not going to be one of my faves. However, I'm really psyched for Jurassic, Florida and I think he has one coming out called Creature as well.
ReplyDeleteAch, Fury of the Orcas sounded really good! My dad is currently reading Megalodon in Paradise and liking it. Better keep our fingers crossed for Jurassic Florida! I really enjoyed Optical Delusion which I looked at but haven't reviwed yet.
DeleteI forgot to add, do you think people will EVER get the rest of the GoT books?
ReplyDeleteI think we'll get The Winds of Winter but I'm not confident about the final book TBH!
DeleteMost of these are new to me. I do want to read the Hearne series soon. Burn Bright is an awesome book but I always love Patricia Briggs.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing Brother Wolf again!
DeleteI just read the first book in Kevin's series. Every bit as good as I'd been told. And I'm reviewing Hunter's Fury Of The Orcas later this week. Also already pre-ordered his new dino book!
ReplyDeleteI love that series especially Oberon with his sausage and poodle obsessions! Sad that it's ending though. I'm looking forward to the Orca review...
DeleteIt would be so awesome of The Winds of Winter was actually published next year. I hope you get a chance to read all these!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I'm not greatly hopeful about TWOW but you never know! Oh I plan to read a lot this year after that disappointing end to the year.
