September Specials!

OK so not a very exciting title but I couldn't think of another book related word starting with S! August Authorfest went well so I'm doing a few special things for September to keep up the tempo! As the month has thirty days, I will have 3 themes which will each last for ten days. One will be Series Catch Up, the second will be Shark! which sort of explains itself, and the third is Solo where I read stand-alone books. I'll need to read as much as I can in each category during their span.

Here are the books I've chosen.

SERIES CATCHUP
I'm trying to finish the Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn and I have 7 books left and 10 days to do it. The Kitty books are 300-400 pages each! I'll try my best though! I should fit in Martha Wells as well as that is pretty short and I hope to get to Black Swarm if I do really well!

1) Carrie Vaughn-Kitty's Big Trouble
2) Carrie Vaughn-Kitty Steals The Show
3) Carrie Vaughn-Kitty Rocks The House
4) Carrie Vaughn-Kitty In The Underworld
5) Carrie Vaughn-Low Midnight
6) Carrie Vaughn-Kitty Saves The World
7) Carrie Vaughn-Kitty's Greatest Hits (anthology)
8) Martha Wells-Rogue Protocol
9) Jamie Hutchison-Black Swarm

SHARK!
You know I love my sharks and a whole ten days of shark books and films sounds great! This is my short list! I don't think I'll get the Salechii series finished but it depends how short the bridge stories are between the main books.

1) Rick Chesler-The Tank
2) Greig Beck-Fathomless
3) Chris Jameson-Devil Sharks
4) Matt Serafini-Island Red
5) Michael Bray-Feed
6) Carolyn McCray-Bullies
7) Carolyn McCray-Open Water
8) Carolyn McCray-Shark Station Nyet
9) Carolyn McCray-Churn
10) Carolyn McCray-The Shayu Situation
11) Carolyn McCray-Blood In The Water

1) Planet Of The Sharks
2) Empire Of The Sharks
3) Shark Lake
4) Toxic Shark
5) Ozark Sharks
6) Atomic Shark

SOLO
These are stand-alone books that I want to read. I'm only trying to read a few novels as Gameland has over 800 pages! The other two are short stories so I'll get them done.

1) Ernest Cline-Armada
2) Saul Tanpepper-Gameland
3) Milo James Fowler-Beneath The Surface
4) Hunter Shea-Rattus New Yorkus
5) Patrick Sheane Duncan-Dracula vs Hitler

FILMS
1) Ready Player One
2) Paddington
3) Paddington 2
4) Vampire Academy
5) Divergent

  4. Is Shark Week this month? I always see a lot of stuff about it, but can never remember. I hope you enjoy all your shark books and movies. I saw VA when it first came out. I didn't think it was as bad as everyone was saying. I set my expectations low for adaptations, and therefore, don't end up as disappointed.

    1. I think Shark Week was earlier this summer. I don't generally watch it as I'm not really into the science of sharks and just seeing them swim around cages. I just wanted to do 10 days of all things shark this month! As for VA I've only really read the first book but never continued the series! I always meant to read on but never got round to it.

  5. What an impressive list of books! I would never be able to read anywhere near that number of books in a month. The Kitty Norville series is one that I do want to try at some point and I really should pick a shark book to try since there seems to be so many good one out there anymore. Good luck with these!

    1. The Kitty books are long looking by page number but the bigger print lets me zoom through them quicker. A few are short stories. It's the shark pile that might be the real challenge! I'm also trying to read a couple of hours each morning before I start blogging to give me more time!

  7. Oh boy. So many of these sound good and I've enjoyed some of them too. I'm working on my 31 Days Of Thrills And Chills for October so September will be my quieter month. Have fun and I'll be visiting to enjoy your features!
