Elle's questions to me!
1) The closest object to your right is your only weapon in a zombie apocalypse. What is the weapon and how screwed are you?
I'm screwed! The two things beside my right hand are the computer mouse and the TV remote control! Yeah them zombies are quaking in their decomposing bodies right now!
2) Would you rather have your hands turn into feet or your feet turn into hands?
I guess feet are less important so I'll go with an extra pair of hands. I could eat messy things like pizza or cake while reading a book without worrying about grease stains! That could be useful! Two heads would be handy if I had two pairs of hands so I could read two books at a time...
3) What toppings do you get on your ice cream?
We don't have any ice cream shops near where I live so I buy tubs of it from the supermarket. I put strawberry sauce and tiny marshmallows on it! As a kid on holiday I experienced a knickerbocker glory and I'd so love to try another one!
4) What do you do on a gloomy day?
It's gloomy today and as usual I'm spending the day blogging! Just before I make the dinner around three thirty, I catch up with news in the world. After we eat, I retreat up to my actual book cave to either read or watch tv. That's pretty much my routine as I don't go out much.
5) Do you play a musical instrument?
No but I did learn the clarinet as a kid. I studied that for over a year and got bored with all the practice and gave it up. I tried learning the guitar but my fingers were short and I struggled with chords! I always wanted to play the piano but never learned.
6) What is your favourite fruit?
I don't eat a lot of fruit. I do like strawberries, mango, kiwi fruit, pears and peaches, rhubard. Oh and watermelon. I don't have a favourite really but I do love tinned strawberries or rhubarb with ice cream or custard.
7) What is one book that changed you?
I can't say that any book has ever changed me in any way. Books tend to influence my reading choices but never my opinions or morals or anything like that.
8) What is one random fact about you.
I don't like going outside unless there are things I have to do like get shopping or go on holiday! I'm happiest indoors if I can help it-my doctor thinks I have a mild version of agoraphobia. I can go out but just don't enjoy it much!
9) Favourite animal?
I think it would have to be pandas. I love watching videos of cute panda cubs messing about and big pandas being all laid back and cool!
10) What dessert would you make to impress Queen Elizabeth II?
She's pretty much out of luck if she comes to my house as I don't really cook! I know she likes chocolate biscuit cake but none of our local shops sell it and I don't know how to make it so tough luck there!
11) Would you rather have the ability to fly or turn invisible?
Fly. I could just zoom to the shops or a bookstore whenever I felt like it. That would be really useful as I'm quite lazy!
My Questions to YOU!
1) What films do you never get tired of watching?
2) If you were a superhero, what is your name and superpowers?
3) Which celebrities would you put on a one way trip to Mars to get rid of them?
4) Your most treasured non book material possessions? (NO family or friends!)
5) What was your most embarrassing moment?
6) What are your favourite music cd albums?
7) Is there anything you would ban from your cafe/restaurant if you owned one?
8) Do you have any phobias or unrationable fears?
9) What is your biggest regret in life?
10) If you were any monster, what would it be and why?
11) If you were dictator of your country, what three law changes would you bring in? (they can be as silly as you like!)
I have a computer mouse and post-it pad next to me so I'm not going to fare much better than you lol
ReplyDeleteI had to look up the knickerbocker glory and OMG I WANT that!!!!
Karen @ For What It's Worth
We're doomed! On my left is no better-a can of pepsi and a cough bottle! A KG is the ultimate in calorie mad desserts and it's been years since I had one! I might need to buy in the stuff and make my own!
DeleteOmg Chuckles, I am dying over here reading your answers. I love pandas too! They're so cute and adorable. Today I learned that the queen likes chocolate biscuit cake.
ReplyDeleteFor Question #8:
I'm terrified of throwing up. It is called emetophobia. It is to the point where I don't want to eat anything that has made me thrown up before. I also do not drink because I'm afraid I'll throw up. I also don't want kids BECAUSE I might throw up from pregnancy symptoms. I am a weird one xD
Elle Inked @ Keep on Reading
You're not weird at all Elle! That sounds really horrible to have that. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have to worry about eating and drinking anything. I can totally understand how scary the thought of ever being pregnant is for you. Jeez, I hope your doctor can do something to help you with that.
DeleteI have a can of Diet Coke, a laptop, and a pencil. I hope zombies are easy to kill! I once went to an ice cream place that had chopped up Twix bars as a topping. That was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
It's probably a good thing we don't have an ice cream parlour in the town! There are lots of things I'd like to feed my face with! I think most of us are doomed if the zombies come...I do have a baseball bat though!
DeleteI was nominated for this before. You got some fun questions and I like the ones you're asking too. It's fun to find out more about you:)
ReplyDeleteI've done this one a few times but I always enjoy answering new sets of questions! Trying to think up my own questions to ask are much harder!
DeleteI played the clarinet too. Briefly. My parents made me, and it didn't really "take." :)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a hard instument! I'm not very gifted musically!
DeleteI've got a mouse and a pen so I'm pretty much screwed too. I played the viola for a little while as a kid and was okay. My daughter played clarinet for awhile at school and liked it though I always hated having to go buy reeds. I forgot about them until the last minute and it'd be too late to order them and the closest music store is in a weird part of town. It was very annoying. Once she could drive she was on her own but she stopped playing clarinet soon after.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to keep a baseball bat beside the computer in case I get asked that question again! I could never seem to get the reeds in right and it took time to clean it and put it together. Gah!
